I'll come out with some preseason power rankings within a couple days

Alright well here are the preseason power rankings for the Great 8. I'll start at number one and work my way down the list

Great 8

1. Broken Arrow Tornados

After falling to LBC in the championship, I think that the Broken Arrow Tornados will rebound very well. The Tornados have no player under 10k excluding their drafteee not to mention their two 28 yo big men inside. I see them cruising in the number one spot all season long.

2. Sand Yetis

The Sand Yetis land in the second spot this season. Yetis have a big arena to pay for their two young superstars in the backcourt. Other than their two guards their isn't too much depth which is why they get number two not number one.

3. Georgia Heat

Even with an aging lineup I still have the Georgia Heat in the third spot. A pretty balanced team with strong big men inside. It will be interesting to watch as one of the older teams in the conference goes about their business.

4. NB Ballers

I have the NB Ballers squeezing into the last playoff spot in the Great 8. They made a couple of good additions in the middle of last season. They have better balance than Da Legends and more star power than the ButtHeads which is why they land in fourth

5. The Flaming ButtHeads

The ButtHeads land in 5th as their arena still needs some work and are missing some star power. The ButtHeads have work to do in order to become a contender and D III ready.

6. Da Legends

I have Da Legends landing in sixth after a fight for fifth with the ButtHeads. Other than their star guard Da Legends don't have much depth which is one reason they land in sixth. Their arena is ready for D III but their team is not.

7. Iron Hawks

I have the Iron Hawks landing in seventh in a very competitive Great 8. They still look like a division five team which is one reason they fall in seventh place. They will need to make some moves to stay competitive.

8. Huntsville Stars

Ok. This team has played one league game. The manager hasn't made a move with his original team. Enough said... The Huntsville Stars will land in eighth unless major moves are made... Quick


Playoff Locks: Broken Arrow Tornados

Sleepers: The Flaming ButtHeads, Da Legends

Thank you for the vote, but I'm going to have to tweak the roster a bit to avoid going broke. I've been running at a deficit for the last few weeks while trying to sneak a championship away from LBC. Needless to say it didn't work. Also, Sand Yetis are definitely tough, but they haven't logged in for almost a month. They may go bot here in a couple of weeks.

Alright well here are the long awaited Big 8 preseason power rankings.... I had a bit of a harder time compiling these power rankings considering I'm from the Great 8 and all of the new teams.

Big 8

1. ProhopU

ProhopU still gets the top spot even with their star PG getting injured Thursday... ProhopU has an outstanding starting five while having decent depth coming off the bench. Their massive arena should help to pay for their strong starting five.

2. Jersey Knicks

Jersey Knicks land in second coming close to Prohop for number. The Knicks also have decent depth off the bench, but with a tiny arena I don't know how they will be able to hold up their team or stand a chance at the next level.

3. rockchalk

rockchalk lands in the three spot this season... rockchalk has close to no star power assuming the 88k monster sells but great depth from the top to the bottom which is one reason they land in third.

4. Buffalo Vols

The Buffalo Vols squeeze into the last playoff spot in the preseason rankings. This team has a puny arena but a decent roster... This is the only the teams second season. The aging roster is not in their favor but for now they are in the four spot.

5. Throwback Red Raiders

The Red Raiders hold the five spot in the preseason rankings after finishing there last season... Decent amount of star power but little depth after the starting five.. The Red Raiders could slip into the four spot depending on how the Buffalo Vols hold up.

6. BFDreamers

The six spot belongs to the BFDreamers. A decent starting five but nothing really past that. Age could also be a problem for some BFDreamers players.

7. Monteagle X-Fliers

Monteagle finds themselves in the seven spot. Only ten players on the roster and only two of them over 10k.. It will be interesting to see how their game shape is managed. Major moves will need to be made for this team to become a playoff contender.

8. Tennessee Allstars

The Tennessee Allstars lands in the eight spot for now. It looks as though they may be retooling their roser for D IV since relegating from D III. The Tennessee Allstars rank could drastically change any moment upon a few big pickups.


Playoff Locks: ProhopU, Jersey Knicks
Sleepers: Throwback Red Raiders

I havent decided if i am gonna try yet this season or not. I might drop to 5 draft and train

thanks for the 4th plave vote. I like the forums here. I havent decided weather to rebuild or try to get better. My roster may be older but they are all very good defensive players. Thats how you win championships. This is the team i had in Dv last season. as for the areana dont worry ill have over 7k in a few weeks. Thats my goal by the alstar break.

Thx for putting me on the top rank, but I am still in rebuilding. Probably gonna keep this lineup, to get some more $$$
