ok, if everything goes right, Cometahalley will POCT and I PON....... So then I smack him by 25 and hoist the V..89 trophy in Gm 3. Ok now so how do I set up for D4, basically what should I do? My 1st idea was to get younger, but want to hear some more suggestions........and also it depends on WHAT D4 I go in.....also what time do I get my promotion bonus as that will be crucial in whether or not I get a great player I'm looking at right now......he expires at 6:30 PM my time....

Need some advice as I amtargeting either 5th or a easy relegation series....so will need advice on how to shape my team.

tnx in advance

aw man I need that cash MONDAY I see a guy that would be great for my team and I don't think he'll go for less, sorry but I can't invest on that arena yet, I'll use the promotion cash on a D4 player to get me over the hump in a eventual Relegation series, then after that, win a cup game or so then go for a guy that a friend is keeping for me.........we made a deal

then after that.........COMES the arena, I should still be making cash cause I will have sold all my oldies....if I don't get this guy heck with it I just get the guy my friend has then hope to not get 8th......and have my arena at 9k which would be useless if I relegate...........not trying to be mean but what happens if I end up in a too competitive D4 league.......I need to get younger and at the Guard positon FAST.

so fingers crossed that the 200k gets there by Monday @ 6:30 PM, BB don't let me down! if not then I'm crap and I'll be having a hard time looking for a GREAT player..........I'll just put my cash on standby and wait, and wait, and wait.....till I see that player below 30k salary....which will be a long time in my guess. sorry man but not arena yet ;)

man -_-

that not fair, looks like I'll be riding my hopes of not relegating on Coleman, Delong, and Prince, cause by the time I have cash or a great player I'll be doomed struggling to get outta 8th. or 7th. hopefully by then could have 600k cause I'll have sold my oldies (SERIOUSLY I WANT to get younger, fast) and then arena as you said......sigh ok then f you (sorry BB, I just wanted that player badly) cable guys, now I have to search through the rough for other young talent........ ok so now once I make 250k off forjaz dekis delvallee and catandil I should have...........600k in my bank. I made a deal about buying a guy for 400k so now I will put 200k in the arena.......to get to 8.5k............et Prince, once I have a hefty 400k I am still going young, never touching those 32 yea olds anymore, and buying a 25k G......then I'm assured a hopeful 4th Pick and a cool way out of relegation hopefully. while then I build my arena to 9k. then in S22 I'll be able to finish the arena off at 10k and then start buying heavy guns to promote outta D4 in a FAST! way cause I'm on a bomb clock of when Delong will blow up......I found out that I could sustain Coleman's salary even in D4.....but idk about Delong's......

also I never know fat chance but maybe that HoF is somewhere falls to my hands, which I sell for 1MIL, which would solve all my problems, get me a ELITE guard, a good PF, get my arena to 10k in one go.....and be ready to compete asap, or invest into the arena to get it to 12k which is a luxury then following season 13k it then promote......fat chance so yeah....

still feel miserable I won't get Lajos (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/player/12158686/overview.aspx) he would've been great.

again still I am building my team on scoring and running up the points, with a average D that can still stop people.

Biggest bust would be relegating back to D5 with a 10k arena which then would leadd me having to go 22-0 in a probable bot league and promote........which is kinda good and bad but no way I am relegating. Relegating back to D5 is like getting punched several times til you throw up blood.......

So I have no right to speak about what it takes to succeed in D.IV, having been relegated from their twice and only lasting one season each time. But I'm going to share a summary of my BB career, and maybe after you read it you won't worry so much about the prospect of relegation:

I started out as a newly-created team in IV.13, and I was quickly outmatched. In fact I temporarily lost interest in the game and didn't log in for a while, only logging in a couple weeks later when I was online and bored with a ton of time on my hands. I bought some guards, didn't train them well, sold them for a lot less money than I paid for them, spent some scouting points, found a nice-looking 7-footer who turned out to be Herbert Jones (22088501), a $5K salary 18yo PAS PF. All in all, not a very impressive first season as a manager. Then having finished in 8th, I relegated to V.204, an all-bot league where I went 22-0 without changing my roster at all, investing every cent into my arena. At the end of that season, I got Delbert Hogue (23484806), a $5K salary 18yo 6'6" PAS SF. I promoted to IV.43 and again found I sucked, so I put all my efforts into training Hogue and Jones out-of-position as necessary. I relegated again, with a pretty crappy draft except for an 18yo 6'0" SS guard with a $2.9k salary, Giuseppino Marasca (24733085). I've had some bad luck in the draft, as in no MVPs or HOFs were even in any of my 3 drafts. I relegated to V.136, where I am now. I spent the season until the all-star break training all three of Hogue, Jones, and Marasca. I sold Marasca for $132K and have been training Hogue and Jones at PG, despite a two-week injury to Jones. Now I'm looking to promote with a massive arena (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/team/28206/arena.aspx) which I've been consistently selling out and will probably sell out at higher prices next season with the promotion bonus. and Hogue and Jones are both pretty stellar trainees, at least in my opinion.

Jones (20yo, 89 skill points): 10/6/7/7/11/7 13/11/9/8 1/4/3
Hogue (19yo, 80 skill points): 8/6/9/8/10/10 7/7/8/7 4/8/2

Was it fun getting beat up in D.IV? Hell no. Was it more fun beating up on bot teams? Not really, no. But is my team a lot better for it? Absolutely. Am I going to do it again? Maybe, since I still have a lot of out-of-position training to do (I'm looking for +2 OD, +2 PA, +2JR for Herbert Jones before I cap him off with inside skills, which with his age and height could take more than a season for just those six pops). So basically what I'm trying to say is, relegation isn't a whole lot of fun, but it can actually be a great thing for your team. And plus also, you have a plan for your team, which is more than I ever had.

Also my weekly profit is $117K/week.

Yes, when you're hungry and are given a bunch of seeds, it's always wise to eat the seeds right away rather than plant them because, I mean, you're hungry now and if you use them instead to plant food for the future, what will you do with all of that food?

hmmmmm

the seeds are cash, eating the cash is buying the player, don't have cash

or use the cash to plant (or build arena) for the future even if I relegate get a great NT draftee (hopefully) go back to D4.........the seeds grow to a lot of food, become wealthy enough to promote to D3, then replant, then let it grow, get it to 18k, go to D2, go to D1, aaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

thanks man looks like we get along quite well hrudey gets a +1 there. great post and now I understand what you mean............

1 problem: Monay may be starting to get impatient keeping Prince so I may need to buy him after I get my arena straightened out first, Prince is a Great name and would help me for a while. So arena+Prince=hopefully getting the cash to stay out of relegation.

well as in the post earlier I said

Relegating back to D5 is like getting punched several times til you throw up blood

ok I don't want to relegate to D5.......but I also want to get some dibs on a great draftee, which would make me getting 7th ideal. I've never had a great draftee, the best was a starter potential, cause my allstar potential had 2k salary -_- and also my draft ain't out the window yet maybe my league doesn't scout to where I can land a stud to sell for a Mil.........always dream well thanks i'll update my league game once it's over and my status...
