In an effort to give the team a little motivation and culture, Coco stopped by the training facility this week. He brought with him the movie Evita. The team could be hearrd singing "Don't cry for me Argentina" during practice, in the showers, and wherever they went. Logsdon was so enamoured with the movie, and the soundtrack, he spent more time singing this week, and less time practicing, and coaches fear he is not in the best game shape of the season.

Brian was working with Velasco again this week. Coaches really came down on Velasco for working too hard this week, and wearing himself out. After Brian yelled at him for the 27th time this week, Velasco shouted back "I can still kick your A** coach!". So Brian challenged him to a game of Horse, and of course the stakes were high. Following the challenge Brian was found in the corner of his office in fetal position clutching an empty money bag crying and singing "Don't cry for me Argentina" over and over after Velasco is said to have collected 7 figures in winnings from his match with Brian.

Jason has expressed some concern this week about Joe Bronson. He spoke to Joel about the fact that Joe Bronson is kind of back to his old self again now that he's been let out of the dog house after a couple of solid performances. Joe has been seen beating his chest in practice, and all of the coaches are concerned he may shoot 50 times Against Argentina. Joel said "Joe is Joe, not much you can do about it! Lord knows I have tried to corral him!"

The team is expecting a new addition or two to the roster in the hours preceding tonights game. Stay tuned to find out who joins your USA Roster! Should be a tough game tonight facing a very balanced team in Argentina. Join us in the in game chat for a good game, and fun conversation! Go USA!!

Game Recap

Fans packed into the Milwaukee Dome, which was airlifted from Milwaukee to Mexico City apparently for this game, to watch the USA battle Argentina in a crucial round 2 rematch of the Season 15 Americas Tournament Semifinal. Argentina went all out, Crunch Timing and using a 3-2 zone hoping to slow down the American guard attack. Coach Jason and the USA National Team decided to Take It Easy and countered with a Look Inside offense.

Two additions to the US National Team roster were made before the game. Small Forward Bill Weeks was instantly thrown into the starting role and wound up playing the entire game because the coaching staff wanted to whip him into shape. Big man Ade Maples was called up to the roster also, but missed the team bus to the arena and subsequently did not play in the game.

Led by Jairo's 21 points, 14 rebounds, and 36 quesadillas he cooked for the team at halftime, the USA pounded the ball inside early and often. Big man Paul Owens contributed 20 points and 7 rebounds, and Bill Weeks had 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 7 assists in his first NT game.

Despite a desperate 4th quarter comeback by the Argentinians, the USA held on in the final minutes to win 120-111. The USA National Team is still undefeated and will face 2-0 Brazil next Monday in a battle for Group D supremacy. Stay tuned!
