The first one if I had to choose, but both of them are bad to terrible defenders.

both of them ain't good. but you could start second as sf only if your opponent's sf is about 2k salary and has pitiful jumpshot. and you can start first sf if your opponents sf is a center or a pf.

Well recently I've developed a point system to help me figure out who my starter and backups should be! It's a nurerical system which enables me to see who's the best overall players and who's the best player for that position...every trait has a number attached to it even the potential and gameshape!

Example C
SB:respectable=7
potential:star=6
rebounding:average=6
stamina:pitiful=2
------------------------
21ov
15 c

Get it

I think that with more experience you will understand such systems are not needed

you will be able to tell who is a good player with a quick glance at the skills
in the above case, i wouldn't say any of them is good, but I would never play a defender of pitiful or awful... so i'm with the first one

even if you want to use such system, the potential has nothing to do with the decision of how will start
you don't gain anything in performance if you have better potential
it might be important in the decision of who to train, who to keep, and so on
bet better potential doesn't make him a better player overall

The first one is a substantially better defender... still not great but he's not a liability. The second one has a better jumper but is so brutal on defense that you can't consider starting him. Definitely go for #1 for now.

Yer you gotta go with the first player. He also has better passing, so this might also be a bigger factor dependant upon what offence you are running.

But yer, definately the first guy for me.
