Also keep in mind that no matter what tactic you use your best player or players on the floor will usually get most of the shots.

and by that i would say base, ptb, or patient would take advantage of better sf.

The reason I said look inside was based on comments I have read in the forums accounting for the success of some teams with a very good inside focused SF and playing the look inside strategy vs other combos. I'm not sure if GM-Rip's suggestion was based under the assumption of a outside focused SF or a balanced one, but from my limited observation this is all subjective. I'm not qualified to debate, but it would interest me if there is supporting data that says otherwise. In any case, you should obviously play to your strengths and not expect greatness out of an inside focused SF playing a motion offense for example.

and id say of the above three managers one has and outside focused sf , one has an inside focused sf and the other has a balanced sf.

it depends on the skills of your sf , he will perform better in tactics that utilize his skill set.

also i would add, there is no inside or outside orientated sf. theres a sg at sf position or a pf at sf position. but thats where opinions gets divided.

Balanced, inside and outside focused SFs are all discussed in the FAQ:

well the reason I asked this was because originally I was going to put my dominant center at SF for my game 3 tonight, because I am always predictable in running LI or Low Post and didn't want to lose because of playing an inside based offense. My center is my best player by far and didn't want to take him out of the game so SF seemed pretty safe. However my center has 1 OD, and 5 JS I was trying to find the offense that uses the SF for more of a mid range game. I know Princeton, Motion, R@G are outside based, and I am not using LI or LP, so the safest bet is Base PTB, or patient.

Just thought you guys would like to know my reasoning.
