Age 25
AllStar Potential
6'11'' Small Forward
Salary Calculator says he's being paid slightly below what he should be.

Jump Shot: strong Jump Range: respectable
Outside Def.: strong Handling: mediocre
Driving: average Passing: respectable
Inside Shot: average Inside Def.: strong
Rebounding: respectable Shot Blocking: inept
Stamina: inept Free Throw: average

I'm considering training him at PG and PF over next season on Outside Defense and Inside Defense for scrimmage matches so I can still utilize him for league matchups but get his training in during the scrimmages. I just want to know if he's reached his potential already.

he is far aw from his potential limit, but he will take longer to train because of his age.

You can still train him, may be a little slower as he is 25 not say under 21/22 but still trainable. In other words, dont sell him to find a marginally better player to train.

Thanks. I really don't want to sell him because he's actually a good player coming whether he starts or comes off the bench. I was considering getting him training minutes at PG and PF next season so I can train OD and ID.

I've got another player under 20 right now at SG that could use training on his OD means I'll be able to benefit with the training by letting him train on OD. At the same time, I've got some fantastic interior players that could use training for ID and therefore, I could throw him into the mix to get that training in. I want to get this player's OD and ID up another notch or two if that'd still be possible but I wasn't sure if I would be able to do just that and since he's a SF, it takes sometimes 2 to 3 times as long if I only play him at SF.

I would sell him if I found a marginally better player to train, at 18 or 19 years old.

Right is not a popularity contest!

Well, the problem is that I am training PF and C and while may be 6'11", he's better suited to play that SF role, in particular off the bench. He's been one of my favorite players at times. I imagine his frame combined with his defense on the perimeter makes it hard for outside shooters. The problem with him though is that he was my first ever draft pick since joining BB and I was still learning the ropes. I don't think I did a good job with his early training and I wish he would train faster now. That's why I was considering switching to focused training playing him in scrimmmages in certain positions so he can receive that focused training faster rather than having to suffer through One-on-One for PG/SG/SF and Inside Defense as PF/C.

Dropping him for a trainee might defeat the purpose but then again, if I am already training, I might be better off. However, he's good enough for now if I leave him as is for the purpose of playing a certain role on my team and would allow me to continue doing focused training for my two Centers (MVP and Perennial AllStar) and even include my younger rising star SG for focused training at PG. Since I want to focus on training this younger SG and my two Centers, I figured to throw him into the mix and try to tap into his potential even more. Of course, I could always nab a really good SG/SF in the draft and not even have to worry about training him.

thanks for the replies.

hm. 18 or 19 years is not marginally better, it is WAY better to train.

If you meant you would trade him for a marginally less good player, but trainable because he is 18 or 19; then I think there would be a very big pricediffrence between both players, so he'd need reserve cash.

as for the question: my team is prety old, most of my players are also 25 or even older. I mostly opt to train more then just 1 position, and also more then 1 type of training, thus training my team slowly in it's entirety, with a level 4 trainer. And I do get some pops once in a while. Somethimes it takes 4 full trainings and between 7 and 10 secondary trainings (full training on an other type which has this skill as secondary) somethimes it takes more.
So I guess if you stick to 2 types of training, and each time on only 1 position, you should get at least 1 pop in each of the skills you train, but more likely you'll get 2, we are towards the end of the season now though, so he will soon be 26...
As long as they are 27 they still seem to train.

But once 28 I estimate skills will start to go down slowly, so if you never train certain skills, he will become less good on those. At that stage he will get training for all his skills to keep his skill-levels he has.
He will still go up in the skill you train him though.

They are not your friends; they dispise you. I am the only one you can count on. Trust me.
