Is there any use accepting players into NT whose teams are going to bot this Monday or they will be placed on TL anyway?

Given there are no clear guidelines on how and when FAs will be introduced, your only 100% guarantee is to recruit all players you want saved.

Then the new system is practically useless, isnt it?

My point was pretty much what ebustelo said
One thing is to give some mystery to the News, and other is to write ambiguously and leading people to wrong conclusions. You have to think that the News are written for a very wide audience, including all ages and many different languages. So traslating this "mystery" to other languages is not an easy task, and LAs have often to "interpret" and "explain" more than "traslate" with the consequent risk of misunderstanding the actual meaning.

I don´t think this game should give advantage to english speaking users who are able to "read between lines", or to frequent users of the general english forum. News are for everybody and they should be concise, clear and self-explanatory. Then we have the forum to discuss about technical details.

That's my opinion, of course.

the thing that you considered it as a knock against your translation is your choice and it is telling. Last time I checked personal attacks were not allowed on forums so please behave accordingly.

Oh, I am sorry for having analysed your post in a wrong way; next time I will stick to literary translation.

It doesnt really matter whether we call it "new system" or "ad hoc release", does it?

I know it is not designed to help (not me, but) NT managers save potential NT players but it is designed so as to put bot players on the TL. And if it does not work, what is the use of it? If it is meant to have only psychological effect, then after one week when managers puzzle it out the prices will go through the roof and even higher than the last time. I still dont get the sense of it.

I don't understand what "new system" you're talking about. There is an ad hoc release of free agents on the market, and it's not designed to help you save potential NT players.

No, he is actually right, old FA system didn't care whether players were on NT/U21, now you have to have them on NT/U21 not to retire (to "save" them for future). Please dont react to every poster as they are clueless little childs... It doesn't matter why something was designed this or that way but how it impacts the game. Try think outside of the box sometimes.

Whatever, Your Essence of Knowledge.

EDIT: Frankly docend24, this is borderline offense, please respect the attempts to keep this a pleasant place and don't test limits. You expect the same from others.

I think that translation is about nuance, not literal meaning. If it wasn't, anybody could get an online translator and away they go. A translator's job is to understand the nuance and convey that. I have read different translations of the poetry of Octavio Paz and have read it in Spanish. The difference is amazing. I am not making any judgement about your work or the work of any of the LA's on this site- I think it is an admirable and unsung job that you guys do and we ALL appreciate it- just offering my opinion that the role of a translator is far more than literal meaning.

As far as the cryptosity of the BB news, I love it. It adds to the imaginary world in which my small team exists.

Actually, I have always thought that BBs make news unnecessary more difficult to translate and make the game more playable only in English without a reason. We all guess from news what the impact will be (and different people have different beliefs based on them) but keeping that (possibility to guess what BBs mean) in other language versions is inevitably more or less problematic. BBs actually help a lot to let things be lost in translation. It has to be discouraging for LAs although usual ones are overcoming that with their enthusiasm:)

Edit: I play in English (for a reason).
