That's all pretty much in line with the point that said that if you're training guys who aren't going to be cap-limited, having the elite level 7 trainer just gets them there faster. You specifically said from 50 TSP to 120, and that the extra 10% (your estimate which I am accepting for the discussion's sake) would put the level 7 guy at 127 instead, which is admittedly better. But the real benefit isn't a raw 7 skill points, but instead getting him to that 127 faster than the guy trained with the trainer that's 10% slower would take.

Now, if you're training elite absolute top of the line guys for international/B3 level play, there's a strong case to be made for the level 7 guy. I'm not going to bother to try to analyze the cost/benefit of that because I am certain you've done so and in your case at least determined it makes sense. I am just saying that there is no way that even 25000 users can train that level of elite player, and the number of people who should do so is far lower than the number who try.

You miss the point that they will hit an age cap before a potential cap if trained properly. So you ahve to train them faster or you wont get to the high end.

Which is precisely why I said within the first two sentences of both posts that what I was talking about specifically was guys who are not going to be cap limited.

Ok, I have a lvl 5 trainer, i paid 200k for him and his salary is 19k a week. To make up for lost time, I'm going to train him during the 2 week trainings. I'm only doing that because I have no one else worth training. I'm going to train inside d 2 weeks, inside shot 2 weeks and forward 1 on 1 for 2 weeks. How important is reb and shot blocking for a sf?? Also if anyone has any advice or suggestions for me on what to do better or differently, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

That is an incredibly good deal - maybe you should be the one giving out advice instead...

Dear god, I just revisited this thread to see others opinions only to find a whole lot of essays.

Glad to see you've found yourself a cheap trainer with quite a cheap salary. Are you also aware you can set scrimmages once per week? This is needed if you're wanting to train 3 players at the same time as you'll want each of them to receive 48+ minutes in the position you're training in every week. Next week however is the All Star Weekend so you'll be wanting to train free throws or Stamina as there will be only 1 league game and 1 scrimmage if you choose to set one.

As I said in bbmail mate, if you're unsure of anything or just want to give me another update just give me a hollar.

Yup I'm aware of the scrimmages. And raped the forums so know quite a bit about how everything works and sorta feel I got a handle on the day to day operations. Thanks for the offer mate and I will definitely ask you about things if it's confusing and will give you updates on the training as I want this player to be a successful part of my and the Australian teams. Unfortunately no pop in ID this week. What do you think the final build of Evan should look like for a SF?
