Rushing a fix with no complete picture of what and why happened causes these prolonged and stubborn issues in the first place. If we want to do something properly, it will take time.
I understand the frustration though, and I'm not saying you're not right to complain: we are slow, it's true, and it's mainly my fault.
I feel I should expand on this more thoroughly, but for now let's just say that a lot of my time is spent on just making sure the game is running at all, mostly due to the very old and deprecated hardware and software we're using. No point in complaining, we just have to make do with what we have and plan some changes when and where possible.
