As long as the cup draw is completely random,

Wha........t a terrible setting it is. As I knew, some level III team met COM teams for 4 rounds and a lot of level I and level II met each other in the last round.
That's the reason why China Cup is between 2 III teams last season I think.

RANDOM?!!! Hooooooooooo.

I have my fourth straight away game as well.

For me it´s the same.

My last 11 cup/masters games were all away but one (last season). :S

agree..they should really reduce the random factor in this cup stuff.. 1. and 2. division teams meeting eachother in round 1-2 and 3. and 4. division teams getting bots etc.. not really a "champion competition" - more a round of luck if you get a bot team/4. div team and if you get home court advantage, which is quite immense!

It isn't a champion competition, that's the BB3.
It's the charm of the cup that teams from I. and II. meat eachother early, so that other teams from lower division can suprise by reaching very far.

Ever heard of cupfigthers?

btw this is why home court advantage should stay in the cup as well, otherwise it would possible be a one man show, with lets say 6 teams from the I.1 at the last 8.

Did you see the FA Cup (soccer) in England this year? One of the two finalist was a team from the 2nd division. That's just absolutely great, there was no Man.U, there was no Chelsea, there was no Arsenal, there was no Liverpool. There was Cardiff City.

got a point there i guess..

About the homecourt issue, i don't wanna proclaim that the higher team gets home court (hell no), just - if it would be possible - to even out home/away game ratio somehow. If that's not possible, so what.. still love BB! :)

I was amazed when I got the 2nd game as a away match AND against another 4th division team (from the same division im in what a coincidence) I think it should be a system like hattrick where people like me get home matches in the beginning against hard teams (div. 1,2).

Well, in these 3 seasons I had 13 home games and 2 away... Hate me :)

And those 2 were from season 3...

Last season I had 4 home games, this season I have 4 home games too... I must be the luckiest BB player :)

I hope this is not going to happen. That's just the fun about the cup for me, you can play any team next round. The system as it is now, is fine.

@ topic: I could live with playing in the stadium with the most revenue, without home team advantage.

Hey PatjeBono:

I read up on the FA cup and it has it's similarities to the current BB Cup format. However, I did note something interesting on Wikipedia:

All Premier League and Football League clubs may enter. Non-league clubs may also enter if they competed in the previous season's FA Cup, FA Trophy, or FA Vase competition and are deemed to be playing in an "acceptable" league for the current season. All clubs entering the competition must have a suitable stadium.

So the teams must be at an "acceptable" level of competition and must have a "suitable" stadium. I would argue that the bots do not meet either of these criteria. Ok, an argument could be made for the competition level - bots can easily beat certain human teams. However, bot stadiums are not "suitable" in my opinion.
