two other points make your comparison to other D3 teams a bit off:

1) you lost your TV and rivalry game the first game. That's going to depress attendance of course.

2) This is your 3rd time in D3, but every time you relegate, you lose more season ticket holders than you gain during promotion. So, you might have fewer season ticket holders than other teams in D3 who haven't relegated as much

Yeah, it's a very tough position to be in. But you might be able to survive. You have two very weak teams in your conference, so aiming for 5th or 6th place is possible. Sell the 77K center, which is a bit too high for D3, and concentrate on winning the games you can, while still training some of your young guys (Chunming, Ping Ping and Meixner look like solid trainees) and keep fighting.

Choices of the past influence now. That is always in BB.

Three seasons ago I got relegated, due to many injuries that season. I went all in, but at the end, I relegated and had to sell my top players to adjust to the new league and not go bankrupt.

I re-build my team it took me 2 seasons to find players and to promote and now I have a relative young, cheap team, I make tons of money and it looks like I have a future.

If your team is going no where, than sell some parts. Take your time to find players that fit your team and fit the future. Maybe you relegate, maybe you stay, but at least you have built something for the future.
