Potential acts as a "soft" cap on ratings, meaning that a player who has trained to his full potential may still improve, but will improve much more slowly than a player who has not yet reached his potential.

tbh at one point the manual was so outdated it ceased to be a credible source of info for me. :)

and yes I did read it. ;)


I've trained a player for 6 weeks before getting a pop. longest six weeks ever.

As far as I know there is no hard cap limit on any player in buzzerbeater, keep training them and they'll keep improving. But there is a soft cap limit and once they reach that training will slow down to a snails pace. I would imagine that's exactly what happened here.

I think it is also important to note his 7'5 frame, which allows him to train his big skills a bit faster as well.
