Making him an all-around player is a good ideal. Training a 6'1" player in shotblocking is just a really bad idea. Some skills just won't matter than much for certain players.

In fact, many/most owners view shotblocking as overrated and don't train it at all, even for their bigs. I've been training bigs for 3 full seasons now and have trained shotblocking exactly zero times. I'd rather give a big man passing or jump shot training.

Co-sign this.

Even if you did 2 position training with 5-6 players, that would be ok. But you need to focus on training either bigs or smalls and just fill the rest of the roster out with veterans so that you won't be tempted to start training them as well!

I've been reading your posts for 3 years here, umpteen people have told you to focus your training instead of spreading it out but you keep creeping back to old habits. Change these bad habits and you'll promote. It's that simple.

Having trained my way out of D5, I can attest that training will set you free!
