First thing thank you so much for the help. I truly appreciate it and it's way more than I ever expected! :)
I would just like to explain some of those purchases;
- Rambuka is a created player that I was given
- Gerald Ulman I bought because I wanted someone decent who could score and get me started
- Next was Astle who I intended to be my focus. As he had good height and decent primary skills. However his secondaries and tertiaries are pretty atrocious
- Brar at first was just a player who could play well for me at pg and sg if I needed him to cover in that position. He is a better all round bball player than Astle by some bit.
Now I am not really sure who to focus on. I have got two players at 6ftand 6.1ft, rambuka who is nice all round player and then the big c?
At the moment I have 100k

One 7ft centre caught my eye but I'm not sure if he is a good move to make for my final 12th player. 25k with MVP potential, Aussie 19 year old. What do you think??

I think you're a young team and shouldn't blow all your startup money on players. There's an arena that hasn't been touched and needs to be upgraded too ;)

You can only effectively train a few players at once. So, you need to get some developed players, as well as some young guys. I'd sell off one of your trainees, and get a couple of older guys. If you go 30+, they get a lot cheaper - these are the sorts of guys you can buy that will win you up to Div III.

For me, there are two priorities for you right now.

1) Promote at all costs. The higher you go, the better the money - significantly better. The quicker you promote, the quicker your team gets good and your arena gets bigger.
2) Pick 2 guys to be your main trainees, and a couple of others as your backup trainees. Put everything into those main guys, always make sure they get 48 mins per week. There will always be issues with minutes which is why you don't have more than 2 main trainees (at least, if you're doing single position training - which is what I highly recommend).

What Dire and Rabid have said is 100% correct. That is why I am suggesting choose either Cs or PGs to train then sell the others to raise some cash to start building your arena. This game is very much about money and your arena is the main source of it.

Where would I start to build up my arena? I was thinking with the $ I have atm I would perhaps invest in 500-1000 bleachers as they are cheapest and hopefully winning regularly in dv4 (with the exception of demon soul) it would be easier to sell more of them to fans...
Good idea or crap idea from the new kid?

I am still waiting to hear who is going to be your "star" trainee. But then you need to get three trainees organised, maybe another rotation player, staff and arena all as soon as possible, by tomorrow if possible.

Here is my look at things.

Ullman is a great SG keep him there.
You only have Graig Astle who is good to train as a C (the starter potential guys aren't worth it, really nothing less than allstar is). So I wouldn't train bigs, instead I would sell Graig Astle and buy a cheaper but better player.

Training PGs
Ed Brar 6'0" 6k 19 allstar
Sebastian Hijano 6'1" 3.5k 19 MVP and your draft pick. He was your first choice. You knew you had a 7'3" trainee but you drafted a 6'1" player so you really made your decision then.
You have at least three other guys on your team you can train as well (Whitney Rambuka is the least worst) or but I would suggest just spending a little and for abou $20-50,000 you should be able to get a 19 year old Aussie allstar or better potential trainee. If you are willing to spend $100,000 there is a great Aussie 19 year old for sale right now.

Think of it this way, do 1 position training and purge all your 18 years olds as their potential are just bad or you can keep them if your planning to do DR or JS this season which i wouldnt recommend since their potential means they wont fetch much on the market at all. or you can keep them around just to play.

train hijano and maybe ed brar (depends on his skills, or if you can afford any trainees)

sell off Astle as he doesnt fit your training plan but unless your willing to train his secondaries for the whole season and switch to big man training which means selling off your guards trainees next season. if you sell then you can get a guard trainee, preferbably below 6'7 and allstar potential or above. note: Rambuka might be too old already to be a decent SF but maybe trainable again depends on his skills... most likely not.

the rest of the players are just to take up time so dont bother training your 11k SG since his potential means he will capped out at 18k or so anyways.

get a level 5 trainee since you need to catch up on Hijano's whole season of missed training.

invest heavily in draft since IV have bots who will pick at random so even if you end up top seed and have the last pick, you will still likely to get your top preference.

unlike all the basketball you claimed you are expert in, BB players dont improve without training so no point have youth at every position since they are dropping in value as the seasons goes by.

didnt the forum member tell you not to blow your money but you did it anyways. zzzz.
