How do you plan to accomplish more Canadian based training when Canadian teams want to cash in on their prospects - how will you change their mindset? Will you send them mini Canadian flags and play up the patriotic angle? Also, what do you mean by more user friendly - do you mind giving an example - that is too vague a statement. Like a politician saying that taxes will be lowered, and no details are given!! Be specific, go into details that is what we want to hear, generic statements carry no weight. Thanks

Convince them the real fun in this game is training up a player from the nothingness of the draft to the best player on your team/in your league/in your division/in your country.

Tell them about the new tax that was created and that it is a huge advantage to have trained players on your roster keeping you under the tax.

Also, what do you mean by more user friendly?

Pointing them in the right direction for reading about every facet of the game. Encourage them to use the forum and BBmail to ask questions and feel part of the community. Being there to answer questions and be a mentor-type.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

I will start by encourage training by giving out a generic, yet detailed easy to follow template, while offering real examples that new users can look to for guidance and to be inspired by actual success from fellow Canadian Managers. I will also start encouraging the Canadian Community to contact one another to buy/sell Canadian players within Canada. To start that, I will try my best to find trainable, cheap, Canadian trainees on the TL and regularly post them up on the forums for other Canadian managers to see.

Also, what do you mean by more user friendly?

To make the Community more user friendly I will use picture generated potential training plans that are easy to read compared to the traditional list of numbers that is used to display player skills. Furthermore, I will make links easily accessible to new users, send greeting messages to all new Canadian teams and make all pertinent information for new users available and easy to read compared to the game manual.

I hope this is specific enough. I encourage you and others to continue generating thoughtful and insightful questions!

This is a great idea now that supporters can now post images in the forum. +1

I got one question to all candidates:

how exactly do you plan to figure out and use GDP feature

With U21 is it tough because new players on our own team vs. new players on other teams. So, impossible to test and it wasn't available to test last season during scrimmages (I wish!).

So...

1) Scout opponents as always.
2) Determine if the game result will change with a correct/incorrect guess.
3) Decide whether or not to guess 1 or both GDP variables.
4) Pay attention to forum threads where PL teams or teams out of cup have played the same team multiple times to test GDP. (1 pair I know of already) and study their effects

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Did you do some testing yourself during offseason, why or why not?
Are you going to keep testing it during league/cup play even if it involves risk to your team?

No, I'm getting flags whenever I'm out of cup. For U21 team, option was not available to test.

Are you going to keep testing it during league/cup play even if it involves risk to your team?
During league/cup play when can you play the same team multiple times in a short period, where players will be the same and game shape, enthusiasm, etc, are known?

That being said, my PL is wrapping down and perhaps after playoffs I will make a 4-team (?) PL strictly for GDP testing.

I would scout and see if they always do the same tactics.
I will move our tactics around.

how exactly do you plan to figure out and use GDP feature

To figure out the GDP feature I will experiment on the effects of the feature in almost all my league and cup games. Having said that, however, the teams are always different so it is hard to attribute x amount of points to GDP. I will also work with others that have access to private leagues and try and gain valuable knowledge from those that are testing the GDP specifically with the same players and team each game.

To use the GDP feature, i will scout all opponents and then implement my knowledge of the GDP feature to make the correct decisions. However, the GDP tactic feature is going to be heavily influenced by the Canadian community, and we should always reach a consensus or sizable majority when choosing GDP predictions.

I hope this answers your question :)

Question to all candidates. Build your ideal U21 starting roster for any and all tactics. 75 total skill points per player (excluding free throw and stamina). I know the skill points could be a bit higher but 75 should be quite achievable for most managers.
