My understanding is that team ratings are an input in the game engine in some form, together with individual player skills.

Why? I know that's how Hattrick works, but other than that, I don't see why one would assume this. I assume that the player ratings would be enough to determine each event on the court.

The fact that the sector ratings are not terribly relevant is alluded to in this thread: (903.1).

And where does it say that those ratings are the sector ratings that are displayed in the match report?

I'll stand by the thread I linked earlier, particularly (903.7). raonne was a BB, no? If he says they're obscure, then they hold very little meaning to me.

And that's all I have to say in this thread. I tried to help confirm something that the original poster mentioned and have no interest in discussing this further.
