Each 16-team league has its own draft of 48 players. Even teams full of bots draft 3 players.

When a new owner takes over a club, he is given credit for some scouting before he took over (I'm not sure how much, perhaps 1 or 2/week).

The model for the draft is that you are scouting throughout the season. But BB was afraid that teams would share information about players. So it's more like that you are scouting throughout the season, but you were too busy running your team, and just stuck the scouting reports in a filing cabinet.

Now that the draft is coming up, you pull all the reports out and start ranking the players. If you did more scouting, you will know about more about more players. You will still know nothing about some players.

I started playing with 3 games left in the regular season. I still hadn't figured out how to set the number of players scouted before the scouting list was displayed. I did pretty good in the draft. As a new team, you should get a player or two who is 18 or 19 and as skilled as the players on your initial team.

If you change your scouting effort now, it will be applied to next season's draft.

It is confusing.

The team I will play in the relegation playoffs lost its start player to a 2 week injury in the game today (after all my posts in this thread). In spite of this good fortune for my team, I feel bad for the owner (tough break LCD) and reiterate that this lessens the fun factor for all involved.

just for example:

if he has lvl 10 doctor he got 2 weeks
in this way if he would have just lvl 1 doctor he would got maybe 5week

so I think there is everything alright...

start post this to INJURIES thread, cause all other off-topic posts will be deleted.

So it hasn't come yet? I keep thinking I must be missing something that everyone else is getting. Can someone please tap on my window when it comes, and tell me where to find it?

I want to go back to the potential thing... I understand what some people are saying that you pay for the information so you should get to keep it. However, I think you should at least have the option to reveal the potential. Otherwise selling good trainees will never be an option.

And once the player is on your team you should be able to see his potential.

Anyhow, that's just my opinion.

i don't think the "i paid to know his potential" point is valid

1) you pay to know the potential BEFORE the draft
2) you'll probably draft a player you haven't even scouted so in this case you didn't pay anything for that player
3) when a player is on the TL his stats should be fully visible, otherwise the market becomes only a matter of luck

I'm afraid that I have to wholeheartedly disagree. Injuries are a necessary thing in any sports management game. Without them, then gameplay suffers as the necessary creativity and resourcefulness that separates the ability levels of the managers have less areas in which to function. Allowing inferior managers to compete with superior ones longer. I'm all for options that enable that disparity to be seen.

I think that managing your lineup so it has some depth is part of being a good manager. Also, hiring or not hiring a good doctor is a manger's decision. You deal with the consequences if you choose a level 1 doctor.
