Before even considering team strategies or offence or defensive capabilities , the only 2 things relevant in calculating the probable scores are minutes played and shot clock time. Nba ends 80-120s because they have 11 seconds less on the shot clock which means more possesions per game on average. Also they play 8 minutes longer regulation than NCAA. There are also some very minor rules which may add a few points here or their such as bonus and double bonus in NCAA. Also NBA is the elite basketball league in the world , only scrubs will miss open shots and even scrubs will still make more than they miss. In other leagues such as college or europe i see guys missing layups and fast breaks lol , you cant expect these teams to put up more than 60 pts if they are doing that lol. Also , there are so many free throws in the NBA compared to anywhere else its outrageous. Free throws means points without time coming off the clock which means higher scoring affairs.

I think games such as charazy , basketsim are definetely played on a game engine more similar to the non-nba style basketball. Buzzerbeater on the other hand allows you tactical control. If you want to put up 100+ points a game , easy , play rng or ptb.

Well.......The people who voted for May 11th could be correct...
as of May 2nd......40,979.....could we see the 1st 39K number since season 6????

dayum. under 40k would really suck - so the facebook connection did not help at all :-/

Well, i am pretty sure i know why there arent a lot of new blood running in. Three new teams were formed in my league yesterday, as i check the conference overview i see that the last time the were online was 15.04.2013, does that mean this is the day they registered and applied for a team? If so, then BB needs to change the policy of how long a new player has to wait till he/she can coach a team.

It is absurd, i wouldve forgotten that i even registered on this site if i would be getting a confirmation mail of getting a team "just" 3 weeks later. I would junk the mail.

There are many bot teams that can be handed over by system to new players within minutes. Of course this is all for BB to decide.

And i think it will drop below 40.000 prior to 15th of June.

i heard some rumours about such cases in germany as well...i dont know exactly, but is that not one main part of the gm "work"

In my opinion, accepting this trend would be a big mistake. Okay, we might've not gone under 40,000 users today but if we don't do anything about it, the situation will only become more severe and we'll start losing players at a very high rate. The more users leave the more game will become boring which will cause experienced players to lose interest in the game and leave it, which also means that many supporters will leave and that would mean less money for the game creators. And then the moment when BBs close the game due to lack of money and interest in the game won't be far. In the forums, the decrease of interest has been obvious in the last few seasons and we've reached a point where only a few people write regularly in forums.

When the world is heading towards casual gaming on smartphones, maybe BB should go to smartphones as well. I believe that if BB would have a facebook app and an app for Android and iOS, then popularity of the game would increase again. After all, a lot of people join the game daily, it's just that understanding it and mastering all the aspects of the game is so difficult that many players leave it before even seeing how wonderful BB is. Simplified version of the game that would be accessible on smartphones would surely increase the amount of users that stay with the game. Making the game mobile would of course be a huge task and definitely take a lot of time and work but in my opinion, it's the only thing that could stop the decay of BB.
