1. Eric United @ Singapore Showstoppers
The underachiever Singapore Showstopper will be hosting the longtime mighty SBBLers Eric United at the Showstoppers Arena, which expected to be sold out after their solid quarter finals victory against Sessioes Doers 127-105. Although SS are lower rating than SD, they really get the job done and nullified SD's powerful inside attack. All of SS players are really working hard to produce a high quality game, especially on offense. Still hard to tell who will be their star player on this semifinal.
As for Eric United, they've just come out for an upset win from the mighty Lycans BB 105-90, proved that EU is ready to grab victories on any given game at any time. Althought were not accompanied by their flamboyan GM Eric Ho, Floor General Augusto Gomez said it wasn't really affected their performance. "We used to play this style like our playground, so nothing can matter it," said Gomez.
Both team has similar attack type, ball flowing and strong scorers. Only that Showstoppers will see Noel Lima to dominate EU's much weaker bigman, but EU's Gomez is on top of all SS's guard players.
Prediction : Eric United by less than 10 pts... Yes we are sure, because no teams can beat Lycans easily at home
2. Pekanbaru Jaguars @ Cheesecake
The most awaited match, as the Defending Champions Jaguars will be playing as visitor to Cheesecake arena. By right, Jaguars should have no problems playing at either place, but except for Cheesecake, whom they lost to 97-99 on their last visit to Cheesecake. Much interesting is, Cheesecake has added in another bigman Wilfred Hatterwüsting, for intention to stop the powerful MVP Petrus Alexandersson. And now cheesecake has double six figured bigman that ready to stop any strong bigmen force out there.
Meanwhile for Jaguars, all of the players seemed ready for the Semifinal rematch of two seasons ago, except for Arif Salim, who just recovered from 14days injury, and seemed still soft on last scrimmage games. Highly chance he won't be started by Jaguars coach.
Prediction : Cheesecake by 5, Arif Salim is not ready to get past Cheesecake two headed bigmen. Petrus Alexandersson to carry load again
