100 is still pisspoor competition. We see teams in that scenario that promote and can't afford to staff enough salaries to meet the floor. This is happening in nations larger than 100.

Not the argument tho', dude. Fixing micros is.

From your perspective, tho' as a NT U21 coach - I'd enjoy more options there! I think the BBs want to create a situation that sustains, or perhaps even encourages growth (and thus $$$).

And we'll have to disagree that:

There are several issues with the micronations. I will try to make a short list.

1: Dying community. When you know everyones opinion there is little new input, and you get less involvement.

2a: Small market for players from your nation. Especially good ones.
2b: Those good enough that do get sold are either very old, or overpriced (because everyone thinks all micronation teams have huge bank accounts. Those that do are already in the top with premium player that they only have to exchange when they get to old and not good enough to compete at the top level. No use of buying them, when you have to compete against those same teams.
2c: Bad merchandise because it is hard to build a national roster.

3a: HUGE gap between beginners and the old teams.
3b: You play either against bots, which is boring, or very good established teams that crushes you, which also eventually gets boring.
3c: Beginners need to build arena only for 2-3 seasons in order to survive when the player salary floor kicks in. Those that don't know this goes bankrupt and quits the game.

4: It is hard to recruit managers on these terms... Example: "You have to try out this great basketball simulator, you just have to spend a half year or more building arena before you can start and build your squad and experiment with different tactics. After a few years real time investment you are good to play the game and compete. So, are you in?" I don't think so...

Points 3 and 4 are the crucial ones. With a merge points 3 gets solved, point 4 gets better. Points 2 is possible to live with. Point 1 I don't know. If a few more active players join, it might just work out fine.

We will talk representing peruvian comunity thinking about the micro countries proposal. We think 80 users is a very high number for a game that has little advertising on our continent and especially in our country.
Peru currently has 40 managers, that almost without advertising. It is an unexpected amount of users.
We can tell you that in many cases we have come to this game thanks to a notice made in Hattrick (well-known game at this time) and, to this, agregate the interest on the Basketball. Others, were notice by some friend and were involved to the game. Some from Season 3, other from season 7, like me, and others are very new but very involved. The advertising we made by ourself to increase community is an unsung effort by BBs but it is well known by Peruvians.
Take our identity is a ungratefulness for all the work we have been doing. That is why our strongly oppose to the union of the "micro-countries", that name does not represent Peru because our level is higher than several other countries.
For reference only get the list of countries that you mentioned.

Users table until 05/31/2016

Peru --------- 40 users
Colombia --- 38 users
Paraguay --- 15 users
Bolivia -------- 8 users
Ecuador ------ 6 users

We think there are better solutions for this. This solution will get many users lose interest and leave the game.

Norway have 45 users. Lots of old managers, but also a few new ones. So it is comparable to Peru. If a new team signs up in Norway/Peru, they have to play a lot of bots and top division material. What happens to users that does not know they have to build arena aggressively before the player salary floor hits?

If you get to keep the flag and national team, would a merge of leagues be so bad? If yes, why?

The advantages of starting in not super league managers are:

1. You have time to learn the skills for each positions.
2. You can start training more easily.
3. As the competition level is not high, low budget that you start giving you possibilty to have a very stable economy.
4. You can raise money without much thought reinforcements.
5. You can communicate with any manager of 1st and some 2nd for help. At this time we are doing it not only with the new users. We respond any question or doubt in our comunity.
6. The money the game give you at the beginning you can invest in your pavilion to increase it and not in many reinforcements.
7. Always you will not find a team than bot (At least in all II)
8. It is not necessary to have high level technical team.

Conclusion is you have to work in your comunity and be patient, this could be the best of the worlds to have excellents teams and we are working in it.

I was not active for a while due to exams but now I am aware of this thread I would like to say I prefer not to be merged even though I understand the need for it. However if it is absolutely necessary then could the 2nd option be explained better? In the five pages I have seen so far and of option 1, 3 and 4 (supplied by jonte on the first page) I would take 4.

I write from awesome @Colombia, in South America. My country was listed as a @Buzzer Beater micro-nation too, because currently, we don't have so much managers playing the game right here.

I can say that I disagree absolutely about those options of mixing countries and so on. In my opinion, the game must continue as It is until now. It is very funny and cool in that way, and It just need more spreading, for you to get more new users.

You can make more spreading, more creative media campaigns and so on, but with decision of mixing countries you are affecting one of the strongest points of the game, which is the National Teams and the unity and empathy that it brings. It makes each country community closer and makes possible that the managers become friends with others from the same country. People will Not feel totally identified with their own culture and traditions if you make them to belong to a different kind of nation than their very own country.

Please, keep the game as It is, with NO mixing countries. If you want to improve it, there are some aspects that need it more, for example salary of the Club Clerks, like Doctors, Spokespeople and so on, which keeps always growing and It affects the development of the Clubs. But mixing countries is Not the best solution, because every Nation has their own identity no matter their size.
