And you have a nice chunk of change from the sales.

Well, I will try to introduce a bit of optimism in this thread. I plan to come back and be active starting next season. Hopefully some of you still remember me.

And I hope that Kevi will stick around like I did, loging in once in a while and then once he finds time/motivation will come back.
I remember playing against him in League II.1. He was a real pain in the ass on my way to Naismith :D

I'm tempted to jump back to Naismith as well and perhaps make another B3 run (not very likely). The transfer prices are making my head explode, though. In the good 'ol days, I wouldn't have paid the salary for some of the guys I see sell for upwards of $3M.

Hopefully you do stick with your plans and Kevi stays too.

Welcome back, and of course we remember the damian13ster!

Looks like we may see some healthy competition back in div II and promoting won't be easy anymore, which is great to see.

Yeah, that would be fun.

I will take steady approach though. Transfer market prices are down right crzy

On the same note, Luxury tax finally went bot after a few seasons coming back every 4-5 weeks. And I completely f*** things up because I just realized it and now Rio Rafferty is retired (well technically he's on Luxury Tax roster but that's the same).
I put him on the roster last season to save him believing Luxury tax would go bot, but somehow he always connected, so I didn't bother with that this season, and now one of our future great big is gone.
Let's just say I'm quite pissed at myself right now.

To avoid that in the future, if you see a team in your league on the verge of going bot with possibly good players, PLEASE put it on the forums...

Or someone with his experience knowing he's quitting should at least put the player up for sale. Then our future NT player isn't wasted.

I can see what Luxury Tax tried to do, but I agree, it's really on them to make sure they either don't go bot or sell the player.

Yeah but I could have saved him like last season, it's part of my job, it's not like if we're short on roster spots

You could have added him once we were out of contention, but they've consistently been away for 4-6 weeks, and so its human nature to not be as concerned adding him when LT was 1 or 2 weeks from going bot. There should be a warning system or something in place where NT managers could get messages when particular players they choose to track are a couple days away from being lost. There's enough on NT managers plates to have to also make sure every potential NT players doesn't go bot.

I'm not really sure how the BuzzerBeater API works, or what you can be accessed through it, but is it not possible someone could build an application that would check when a manager is a week or so away from going bot? Maybe an application where a NT/U21 coach can add the IDs of teams that hold potential NT/U21 players and it will check once a week when those teams last login was, and bring up a flag when they're getting close.
