i don't know what the teams will look like in DIII. i figure a lot of teams spent at least some of their money on older players to advance -- very short term thinking, but now there will be larger revenues -- will teams spend that money on a bit more expensive older players?

additionally, i count three other teams that promoted with you. that, to me, diminished your achievement.

that is what i meant.

regardless, you are in DIII and i'm not! good luck.

actually 4 teams got promoted.. 5 if u count me. Well the difference, as I heard, is that the winners of leagues IV will have that extra attendance next season, other promoted teams will just get those 300k. So I guess that's the extra. Another thing is that the only way how I could get promoted was to win the league, so I hadn't any choice anyway. But atm hard to say of it was worth it..

About the old players - I had only two old farts on my team.. one of them I sold today for the same price I bought team.. so it wasn't t a big loss.

To be honest I would say it was worth it as it didn't really cost a lot. Also it would become much harder to promote the second time ish if you get what I mean because everyone has more money.

Personally I didn't loose any money because all the money went towards my arena which was my long term plan from day one. But I do get where you are coming from tbh

yeah, i'm not smart enough to figure out the correct strategy, so i can't second guess some one else. my gut is that it is better to be in DIII than DIV, simply because more money means more options. for that reason, i commend your foresight.

for myself, i set myself upon a path that involved a lot of training, and keeping an all-Utopia team, so me advancing is moot for a couple of more seasons. if i am going to buy Utopian superstars, i have to train them!

Haha that's same as me to be honest, the problem is that I am too impatient when it comes to training hahaha, but I got an alright draft so I definitely need to train properly this season.

Your plan is actually one of the safest and long term plan in my opinion because you safe money and earn some from your merchandise plus you can sell players for a lot more cash
