I`ve never tried to lose games. I always pick my team to tr and win but winning and getting promotion hasn`t been my priority this season.

Your still in the playoffs 3rd place w/ a better PD than the teams above you. Just try and win and see what happens. If you promote great, if you don't then that was your original plan.

Always put training first until your established. I single pos train every week but I do want to win the playoffs so I am saving the skills I need to 2 pos (ie JS and 1v1) for those weeks.

I got promoted to D.III and im really comfortable where i am.
Yes, you do recieve much more money in the higher division, however, i feel if i continue to lose, i will not enjoy the game as much, and im trying to train a great player without throwing too many games to get minuites, and not losing gameshape.

I probably wouldnèt promote this season seeing as my player salaries are among the lowest in my league, however i wouldnèt go after promotion next season either as i do not want to lose all my games, and face relegation (which i hear is terrible) in D.II


If you want to stay put, learn the game, and get ready for next season, then do that, then you can have fun dominating your league next season.

If your goal is to have fun with this game then I think priority number one should be to get out of your country's bottom division as fast as humanly possible. The game is way, way more fun when you're not playing 50%-80% of your games against bots or owners who only sign in once a month.

the whole fun part is all based on how he looks at it.
I have no clue what he enjoys doing in this game.
I do not want to move up, partially because i would get destroyed in the next division.
My player salaries is about 66k per week
the league average in D.III.2 is 100k.
Though i still manage to compete, and usually beat, my opponents, it be complete suicide to get into the higher division.
AS in, I would like to achieve certain goals in the next few seasons that would get me relegated for next season for sure.
And you, being an D.II player, should be able to compare my team salaries, and the rest of your leagues, and be able to predict the outcome of those matches.

My idea of fun in this game cannot be accomplished by having to worry about getting relegated, especially when ones comfortable where they are.

And playing against inactive managers and bots could be an amazing way for one to learn the game, play different tactics and try diferent lineups.

Ive been pretty successful in my league this season, after getting promoted alst season, probably due to the fact that I took that season to learn about the game and have a better understanding of how to be successful in this game. And now im sitting in 3rd place. I have a decent understanding of what im supposed to do and i am right where i need to be in terms of completing some of my goals.

So to top it off, the original poster may have his own idea of what his goals are, and how he wants to have fun using this game, but I believe that sometimes people do need to take the time to learn and grow to be more successful in seasons ahead.

What would be a disaster would be to promote while you can't compete and then be relegated back for the season after. While the higher up you are the more money you make and the more fun you can have, it isn't so much fun being smashed by 50 every game. I think you should always aim to be promoted, but you also need to be sure that you can compete in the next division. For now make training your number one priority, get a solid rotation of 3 guys going and ensure that they get 48+ minutes every week.

I think you should promoted and the reasons are:
1.Every season the BB community is growing and this means you will have a harder time to promoted
2.Even if you lose 2/3 of your games because you will be focusing on the training my experience with this game makes me think that a newly promoted team will always have a better first season than the teams that finish in the last 2 no relegation places last season because of the momentum from the last season.This is my opinion only.
3.The economic factor will help you more than you think: Promotion bonus, higher attendance with the price of the tickets bigger witch can let buy some 27-28 yo player to help you stay in that league.
4.You can always count your battles and use TIE and CT to your favor, an aspect of the game that i think you are not accustom to.

For me the thrill of this game is not playing games that i know i will win but the games that i lose and have to find out why and the games that are really close and have to give all to win.The best should be the trophy you get ;).

I can speak from the point of view of a player in a big country (bb-wise).

Got promoted to Div. IV last season after barely missing promotion the season before that. I have been placed in a competitive Div. IV and realized that I could at most hope for a 5th spot (my conference is weaker than the other hence finishing 6th is still a risky thing) but due to a couple key injuries I lost two games I had to win.

Right now I'm enjoying the money I'm making (80k per week) and I've been investing heavily in youngsters replacing older players who couldn't improve and give me an edge in the future.

The hopes now are to get drawn into a not-too-hard Div. V next season while cotinuing to train my players in order to jump back as soon as possible in Div. IV with a much more competitive team.

Hence, my point is: try to get promoted, you never know where you'll be placed next season and if you are so unlucky to finish ina div.-of-death just use the time and money to build for the future and jump back up with the knife between your teeth.

The most fun that I derive from this game is the idea of developing young players and knowing that I have improved them. Of course it`s great to win and I never think about throwing games.

I may yet get promotion because my division is very tight and one win or loss changes my league position dramatically. As you said fun is however I look at it. Fun for me is finding ood young players on the transfer market and then making them better. I have three young trainee centres. I am hoping that by the start of next season, with this years training under his belt, my Italian centre, Vaccarini, will be a massive player for me.

Im in the mix of a decision of trying to compete for the playoffs and possible 3rd place.. or shoot for 6th. The other division is way weaker, and my back ups would even compete with there squad. Its a tough decision, because ill make more money going into 6th place, but i have more pride with 3rd, and my team is uber competitive with the top 3.

Hi dude, i have a similar plan to yourself i.e consolidating our position before promotion, but if you can achieve promotion to D3 this season you would be in a better position to achieve your target before moving onto D2. From my experience the bottom 10 teams in my last english D3 were not much of a step up, i went 4-6 (joined halfway through season finished 4-18) and my team was utter trash, your current ranking is a lot higher than a lot of the teams in that division!

There has been a high turnover of teams in my last division 3 too, i found it consisted mainly of D2 dropouts, those who missed out on promotion the year before, newbies and teams with users who gave up. You will have more money, better attendance, good chance of a top draftee and a nice promotion bonus. The main difference between our D4's tho, is yours actually appears to have a high number of user teams, there isn't a single user other than myself in my division, completely dead, which is a extra reason i need to promote this year and then my main focus for the campaign will be to build up my arena, train my young guards and draftees.
