would that really be easier? You'd lose 10% of training, so you won't get there all that fast, and if you want to train a youngster this could hijack his development. I think it would give more control, yes, but at a cost. And that cost would exactly be the amount of training a player receives.

My annoyance with the change is just that it's unclear, so maybe that can actually be solved.
"A particularly well-rounded player will continue to receive cross-training but will see a much lower reduction in primary skill training, while a particularly one-dimensional player will see a larger loss."
Does that mean that a particularly one-dimensional player will see a larger loss *even* if trying to train a skill which he is bad at? Or does it just mean that he'll see a larger loss when he's training the skill(s) he's already especially over-trained in? I'm presuming the latter, but that's not what was actually stated.

Please stop saying that everybody is unhappy about this change.
I won't say that everyone is unhappy with. I will say that 73% of the respondents who had an opinion in this poll dislike it, though.
Anyhow, life goes on.

Go read the news again. The 10% that might be taken from a player's primary skill will be distributed to other areas. -10% +10% = no change.
I disagree. There will always be teams willing to train U21 players.

So, the next time you go to a food market and the seller puts some potatoes in your tomatoes you will not complain.
From my perspective this game has already enough randomness. I think that, if the BBs wanted to achieve the same effect they could have simply made more substantial and maybe also wider the effect of training secondary skills, maybe adding more reasonable side effects (JS - JR -> FT).

I choose my own vegetables at the market.
What that has to do with my last post is very difficult for me to figure out.
I agree that JS training should train FT. I also see the validity of people improving in handling skills while they train JS, or SB when they train 1v1. Practicing basketball is not, or shouldn't be, about improving one skill. The majority of modern basketball drills incorporate many skills.
