But isn't it the role of the game designers to raise interest in the new challenges they set by mystifying these challenges a bit? This is different from the task for us users who could see our job in cracking the precise mechanics behind each new mystery...

For common users? Maybe. For translators? Not at all.

The solution is maybe too simple for BBs to do it that way: reveal the news for GMs and LAs two days in advance so that we can discuss the ambiguities.

don't forget that newly promoted teams are supposed to have a sweet life financially, this is part of the announced season 10 changes. teams that are on a downward trend in their league seem to find things harder, at least that's what my very small sample suggests.

In my league the average profit is $200k so seems to be as big benefit also for the "older" teams in the economy. I do have an arena income of $35k more than average but e.g. merchandise is on average despite a PR manager level 5 and very high Fan Survey marks so does not look like an advantage to new teams. I have $10k lower in salary for both players and staff but that is due to a well balanced team and probably because I am more careful in swapping staff to avoid high salaries than some of the other teams.

One thing is to give some mystery to the News, and other is to write ambiguously and leading people to wrong conclusions. You have to think that the News are written for a very wide audience, including all ages and many different languages. So traslating this "mystery" to other languages is not an easy task, and LAs have often to "interpret" and "explain" more than "traslate" with the consequent risk of misunderstanding the actual meaning.

I don´t think this game should give advantage to english speaking users who are able to "read between lines", or to frequent users of the general english forum. News are for everybody and they should be concise, clear and self-explanatory. Then we have the forum to discuss about technical details.

That's my opinion, of course.

My idea is that the gap between what you could have in team salaries and what you earn is quite big. It would take me a very long time to get enough money to buy players so that I would increase my salary cost with $100k unless I bought a wage monster which are not likely to be a better solution than three 30-40k players. I have a team in my division with a $150k/week player but I very much doubt that he in combination with two $10 players will do better than 3 $40k players and the later you need much money to get. Not cheap to buy the $150k player either of course ...

Also with large arenas, my arena is over 28k and I earn more than 50k additional income per match. Maybe for some arenas about 40k is attendance income equal to last season. But how many team had arena over 30k ... 50 teams... 100 teams? In last formula these teams had to decrease for example bleachers ticket price to $12 to sold out. Now everybody can set the price to $18 or $20 and the attendance is always about the same. I really like old formula more even if new one is more advantegous for me.

I remember JUICEPATS somewhere said it was never going to return; but it did; it took courage to take that action. IMO it was a necesssary move due to the irrational buyers/sellers market; and prompt action was required. With 50000 users; always some actions taken are not perfect timed in view to few users; thats life.

You're right, I did - and I had no idea this was happening until I read the News 2 hours ago.

Given the reasoning, it's a sound move to make.
