wow scret agents gets another great draw. I would imagine they are a pretty big favourite to win it all.

Great win Mr. Burns! Full marks for that one, you deserved it. Hope that you are able to get up to Naismith so I can exact some revenge :)

Cheers and good luck the rest of the way!

Yes indeed. Take solace that we are in Naismith and actually make a profit, with his wages he needs to get out of div II to make some money.

Another tough draw. I was really hoping to not have to play the Rockets this season in the Cup.

Hey I was just wondering if I can get some opinions

Should I try to win my Cup game or let it slide and try to beat the number 1 team of my division?

I would like to try and beat the number 1 team in the other conference (the game before the Cup game) just because he has an undefeated streak this season ;)

But it would also be really awesome to sneak into the final 8 teams of the Cup games

What would you do?

Cup Cup Cup Cup

At least post in here and be unpredictable. Otherwise your opponent is gonna read it and prepare accordingly. Being in the elite 8 is better. Imagine if you try to beat the #1 team in the other conference and loses, then you're gonna lose in the cup also.

Some things to think about:

What realistically are your chances of winning your cup game? His team is slightly better, but you have home court, which is important. If your game shape is high, and you can TIE either (or both) league games, then you have a chance.

Ruining the other teams undefeated streak is only a moral victory, and does not really help you. The league win _does_ help though, you are not guaranteed to stay in your #2 position. But again, you need to look at what are your realistic chances to win _that_ game.

It looks like your best chances would be to TIE your Tuesday game against the undefeated team, and play NORMAL with your best lineup in your cup game. And also try to win your Saturday game. But that's certainly not your only option, just the one I would pick.

I'd go for it. I took the conservative, preserve enthusiasm, approach playing an undefeated Div II team this week and kind of regret it. If I'd put in even "normal" effort, I probably could have "stolen" the game.

Let's be honest. You would crunch... I know this from first hand experience. There was at least one time where you had no chance of beating me and crunched anyways. Another time your chances were dubious but you still went with the crunch.
