For sale a 25yo Aussie SF

(He is listed as a PF but by far his best position is SF and infact his rankings have been down a little this season as he has spent time as a PF in each game)

Mauro Palmeri (27376452)

15 OD and right on the edge of becoming 15 in IS (Elastic effect has temporarily stopped him)

Extremely salary efficient at only 27 K a week

Will slot into any 2 position training plan, whether it be Jump Shot, Driving or Rebounding and is still young enough to develop significantly

Ranked 16.5 over 23 minutes in the 3rd and deciding ABBL final last season (72241392) and on a couple of other occasions ranked 18 or 18.5 as a SF in the ABBL. (69308460) & (72241390)

Being as salary efficient as he is and only 25 years old he could become the long term nucleus of a current or future successful Div 1 team

so just wanted to say well done on training him and good job. His stats have probably been posted in a forum somewhere, but its nice to see his stats on the player profile...... I actually have him being a SF by my calculations, so he must have high sub-levels of ID/IS/RB or even just one of them needs to be more then half a point higher and it kicks into PF, so yer, he is close to a SF.

I think your training really highlights something. and don't take this as me being critical, its more just lessons learned for me personally as well.

HoFmer potential - yet this guys current stats don't even push into a Per-allstar softcap. 2 seasons of simulated training doesn't get you into the Superstar soft cap, (although you could go close depending on what you do).

Point being - is that it really highlights how you can still achieve a really awesome SF, without a high potential.

I think it would take probably 5 seasons of training to get anywhere near the potential cap for SF for Palmeri , and probably more focus on ID/JS/JR - to get those skills points kicking value into SF. Theoretically, if i take ur build and extend it to bring his JS up to 18 and JR up to 15, i STILL don't hit the HoF soft cap. And that training would take the guy to about
(very roughly) 3 seasons of OS training and another 2-ish of JS. So he would be 29.

So id be interested in hearing your thoughts on whether or not you would go for such a high potential bunch of players again (and pay for them as well!) for SF trainings?

You're right in the sense that if you build a SF smart, you don't need HoF potential. MVP is probably the most you need, and superstar will make a damned good SF as well (our current #1 NT SF is superstar potential).

Heck you could make a serviceable backup ABBL SF with allstar potential pretty easily

Some great players available this week, at least two with NT potential. I am tempted to drop the $2.9 million but am scared how much damage that will do to the ABBL.

A heck of alot would need to go right for Palmeri to make the nt - he's a good player, and will perform well for whoever picks him up, but he's the third best aussie sf on his on team atm ;).

Perisic has the potential to be a mega star pf. Would strongly encourage an aussie team to pick him up.
