I still want the chance to win the top league one day. By creating only one Div I this is next to impossible. What would happen with B3 then? Useless competition and a mega-cup would suck too- probably wouldn't even fit into the seasons schedule.

New users don't leave because of a lack of competition. New users leave because they get the crap beat out of them because they've been put in a league that's too strong.


This is exactly lack of competition! U can be bored being too strong or too weak.
I agree with you when u said that the goal is getting new people, but you also have to keep them.
Maybe one league isn't the best solution, but maybe a merge with less leagues than then actual situation is it.

The fact it's the game is dying. We have less users week after week. BBs can choose if let the game keep going for a while that way or make a risky move trying to save it but if they fail they are going to lose the game sooner.

Erm... no. That's not what I said. I didn't say *bored*. And as Knecht said (and I alluded to earlier), having one league (or even significantly fewer than now) is going to create another set of problems... that may even be worse (financially) than now.

And this is not intended to insult, but you've been here a season - that last bolded quote makes only anecdotal sense coming from someone who's just got here.

I like the idea but the Time differences would kill the game. I think if they did this on a regional level it would work best.

do you think that a player put in a league where it s going to lose all the games by a lot of points (or winning) for seasons is going to have fun? do you think most of the people play the game for having fun?
for sure a partial merge (or a full one is) is going to need an economical study before. And for sure it s better keeping the situation as now than merging without thinking about that.
For the experience part: as i written before in this tread(if you have read it) i just came back after few seasons playing also in highers leagus;-). unfotunatly you can check my 'skill' in the only fair competition we have atm(but luck is a big factor).
Anyway i would like to know from Bbs a statistic: the% of team that joined from 4 seasons ago to 2 season ago that are still playing

I've been there. I've spoken to guys who have players in my U21 NT, who quit because they're in a division where they can't win a game.
I'm guessing your hypotheticals are just that.

Sure... there are guys who quit because the competition is lacking, but most of new users that I've met in my albeit limited experience, who don't stick in micros do so because they cop a shellacking in their first season (or less). Being sorely out of your depth week in, week out is far, far worse than playing a bot.

Exactly! Now we are getting somewhere. If all they do is crush a few smaller nations together it might keep the game afloat for a while while they find revenue streams for themselves elsewhere. If they do something of a magnitude that will actually rescue the game, sure it's risky, but I say good for them. But like it or not, or ignore it as you seem wont to do, the decision will unquestionably affect every team in every nation, because we are all a part of the same global Buzzerbeater economy.

I understand and sympathize with micro-nation managers who want to keep as much of their advantage as possible, so go ahead and protect your turf, but I don't feel the need to protect any turf and my viewpoint is what will benefit the game as a whole, not just protecting micro-nations.

I think by "economy" you're talking about "game economy" - but largely, that's irrelevant to the decisions that need to be made. *Real* is the only thing that impacts the decisions that need to be made here.

Now, not necessarily to all - but to me at least - your suggestion sounds very vanilla. All having the same experience, is not something that will enjoy longevity.

Why don't we just implement a rule to where each team can only have a couple foreigners on their rosters! I would love to see this, or set economic ceilings which are based on the number of users within a country. Realistically, many more people are watching the large countries as opposed to the small. Tv money should be based not only on the specific league but the national scene as well. Merch sales should also be programmed along this formula. I can't even read about DJ Richardson winning the title in Finland because there isn't any coverage in English i can find. (If any finns want to pm me about it, please do!)

The levelling of the international playing field should be the first priority. Let's fix it for the 90% first, then prioritize the rest.

i not think all togheter in only one big country will be succesfull, but maybe all mixed togheter in 10/12 big country with full series from one to V and no bot can be a good idea for the whole economy and for the new user so come in the game and should face users who are not udefeatable and not at top level

Exactly right. But of course the micronationa won't like that because it doesn't retain their micronation advantage.
