Agree, his guard r weak, perhaps, heis trying to play full inside team? Easy playing style, can pure attack n pure def inside.

until his defense improved, the Slinger will be a dangerous team to go up here... ha...

League 2.1 : SaungHninPwint VS FuTureSG = SHP

FuTureSG look to be more balance out, but with tough inside play by SHP, SHP would have the edge

Player to lookout for : SaungHninPwint - Tome Petrovski(C), Paul Beirne(PF), Walter Witsen(PG/SG)
FuTureSG - Nolan Maglasin(C/PF), Bronislovas Dabrukas(C/PF), Abd Rauf Ishak(PG/SG)

Ben, Here league 2.1 prediction, Waiting for ur report. haha.

League 2.2 : slinger VS SingSing82 = slinger

slinger will be winning for sure with his current roster. unless, SingSing82 could spam the same amount of money just like slinger. (SingSing82 could giv up outside def for inside def just to def slinger inside play, due to weak outside play by slinger)

Player to lookout for : slinger - Eidmanis Nemoitinas (C), Anselm Martí (PF), Pepe Danke (PG)
SingSing82- Yiorgos Fotilas (C), Zdeněk Helebrant (PF), Boris Buzhan (PG)

Ben, Here league 2.2 prediction, waiting for ur report. haha
(Need any more other info, i dont mind helping, if i could)

5. Eric United (SGP #4)

Plus :
- Stable Ball Movement with either slow or fast attack.
- Rich of role players that able to play multiple positions.
- Powerful offensive team, bigmen are smart when adjusting on offensive moves.
- Persistent team GM , Eric, with rich of experiences managing big team (Singapore NT)

Minus :
- Still looked vunerable inside after being left by Cedomir Gusic.

Summary :
A long time SBBL-ers, Eric United finally rise up again to even up the recent furious SBBL competition. After done much reshuffling for couple season, it looks like EU started to figure out how to win games with enough talent out there. Kudos to EU manager Eric Ho, who have a good vision on acquiring some top role players to play along with Augusto Gomez (19.4ppg 6.6apg). There are Sergi Mateu (15ppg 4apg 4rpg), Peleg Schum (11ppg), Rainer Mand (17ppg 4.2apg), Fu Erqiang (15ppg). Altough suffered much inside presence after Cedomir Gusic left, EU now is loaded with some smart bigmen like Sven Gruner (10ppg 8.3rpg), Željko Krivokapić (12ppg 9.5rpg) and Jankelis Paliukenas (8.9 ppg 6.1 rpg). These core player has made manager Eric happy as they nabbed the S17 National Tournament Champions, and they will be playing on B3 arena on next season. As for their regular season, EU stands at 4th position, and expected to move higher with the regression of Shohoku Backers and Sessioes Doers.

Prediction : #1

6. Shohoku Backers (SGP #2)

Plus :
- Veterans
- Toughness. Detroit Pistons style at year 2004

Minus :
- Veterans (Aging)

Summary :
Also a long time SBBL-ers, Shohoku Backers are more experieced seasoned team than anyone else. Cataldo Momente (9.9 ppg 6.5rpg) is the SHB longest member. Sertug Acay (17ppg 14rpg) and Jason Peachey (10.8ppg 10.8rpg) are still tough as before. Early season acquisition Tadeušas Genišauskas (14ppg) has made him a starting guard with Aniol Soler (10.2 ppg 5.8rpg), which shift down Agislios Kostis (8.2ppg 2.5apg) for bench role. Although Shohoku started the season strong, the recent improvements by other Big 8 teams have outpowered them, including the recent defeat at home from Singapore Showstoppers 107-92. Now the big question mark is, can SHB stop their slide, as below them are those team that hungry for playoff spots (Lycans & ESP).

Prediction : #5

7. Sessioes Doers (SGP #5)

Plus :
- Loaded with superstars players and deep bench, precisely those material that ready to fight any top teams.

Minus :
- Often lost composure on tight games.

Summary :
An SBBL runner up last season, Sessioes Doers kept it low profile on Season 17, as they are showing the same flashes as they did on last season even thought they're only at position #3 on big 8. This season, looks like SD's are trying to get more out of their bigman, as Eike Balkhausen (15ppg 11rpg 3.5apg 1.8bpg) and Phil Hanson (20ppg 14rpg) both are on their season high, but it affected Ricardo Paz production , as he only averaging 18ppg, down 6 from last season 24ppg. Van Hagebeek still on his usual production with 10ppg and 11apg, and SD's even brought youngster U21 Yap Kwang Meng into the mix. Although only averaging 6ppg and 5apg, he showed no fear on attacking the rim, and not afraid of taking big shot. At the end, for SD to climb higher, they can' afford for any close defeat anymore, such as their last Final Rematch defeat to Pekanbaru Jaguars at WTD Arena.

Prediction : #3

8. Singapore Showstoppers (SGP #11)

Plus :
- Consistent Offensive/scoring production.
- Tough inside

Minus :
- Perimeter defense. Although improved, but will still need help.
- Veteran presence, if they want to make sound in playoff.

Summary :
As big 8 underachiever, Singapore Showstoppers tried their best to swim under league highlights, even managed to sneak into Big 8 #1 after recently defeated Shohoku Backers as visitor 107-92. With their latest victory, it has make Showstoppers known as the best performers on road games, as they also beat the Defending Champs Pekanbaru Jaguars as visitor at early season 17. Not a surprise for their recent surge, as the Showstoppers just added in a new wingman Urbano Di Giuseppe (18.0 ppg 5apg 5ppg), who seemed fit in nicely on the team that in need of good wingman, and improved their longtime weaknesses, outside defense. The Showstoppers until today, still powered by duo bigman Noel Lima (16.6ppg 15.6rpg), Pedro Pineda (19.6ppg 11rpg), with their ballfeeder from their combo guard Xiong Jiayun (14.6ppg 5.8apg 4rpg) and wingman Alfredo Coutinho (15.4ppg 3apg 3rpg). And their bench, Edmundo Cabral (12ppg) Lin Shun Choon (7.1ppg) and Ong Yi Ying (6ppg), contributed pretty well even though overshadowed by their starters performances. If these troops kept solidfy their habit to win on road, they will be a team to beat anyone on SBBL.

Prediction : #4

League 2.3 : Black Diamond 8806 VS Requiem of Dream = ROD

ROD is one of the best def in league 2.3, with his current team, they would be the champion of 2.3, unless they fail to bring in player to replace their 2 bigman.

Player to lookout for : Black Diamond 8806 - Lim Shi Xin (C/PF), Reinoud Jongkind (SG), Ke Qinghan (PG)
Requiem of Dream - Tomás Fernández Bobadilla (C), Ernesto Ceresi (C/PF), Guillermo Olmedo (PF)
