Thank you for speaking up.

This is all very constructive dialogue, but there are several misconceptions here:
...incuding a couple of yours!

1. "The market prices are too high." We've had higher prices than this during the old days many seasons ago.
That's no excuse! All that means is that this isn't the first time prices have been too high. They are so high now that there is only one way to play -- train -- using the illogical Hattrick training system in place, which you refuse to acknowledge.

2. "There is only one way of playing the game". This is untrue. It's all about balance and the game is more balanced now than it has been a couple of seasons ago. It was more of a (day)trading game than a training one. Having said that, it is obvious we've been working towards motivating training and discouraging daytrading.
There is one of your biggest misconceptions. It is no longer possible to build a team through the transfer market. The game is train or die. Yes, it is obvious you've been "working towards motivating training." We all know that. Too bad you did it in a way that wrecked the finances for the rest of us instead of simply reforming training itself so that every manger would do it.

3. "The new tax will push the market prices way up".
4. "The effect of Free Agency on the market is enormous".
5. "The effect of the new promotion bonuses on the market is substantial".
No one is saying any of these. You are the one exaggerating. In that you sound like the expert from Japan. No one knows the ultimate effects. We just hope for the best but fear the worst, based on recent changes. The new bonuses will introduce more money into the game, that much is certain. You have done nothing (deliberately) to drain excess money from the game, that also is certain. Can you fault us for thinking things will continue in the same direction, the same downward spiral?

I hate to be so direct, but you seem bent on continuing to develop a training exercise pretending to be a basketball sim. Those of us who wanted a basketball sim will just have to look elsewhere I guess. You can have your training thing.

Most cup competitions in small nations much shorter now.I myself will lose about ~200k every season, which equals almost a whole weeks profit.

Was that money "excess?" The cups are shorter because space on the server was freed up by removing bot leagues. If there is less money to be had, that is a (fortunate) by-product.

In addition me and my small country peers will lose opportunities to build up game shape, which will lead to B3 becoming a big nation competition, just like the champions league in the real world.

That's off topic, and besides, you can have fine game shape without Cup games.

Rewarding teams for going semi-inactive and building up piles of money goes against the spirit of competitiveness.
Bravo! And that's where logic fails Marin once again. If what you say and I quoted here above is the purpose of the proposed changes then why not target tanking specifically? Would it be so difficult or unpopular to make proper tanking uneconomical?

It's very simple: you play with a team who are vastly cheaper and inferior to the competition and that's reflected in the W-L ratio? Then your fans will desert you. This happens in real life, too. BUT here's the catch: if you can stay at the salary floor, compete with mid level teams and train, then you should NOT be punished for making more money than your competition.

The last winner of the B3 made around $24 million from sales of players. If he replaced them one at a time he would have been completely unaffected by any change. Yay, more reasons to hold back on transfer listing...that's not going to be good for prices I don't think.

I wouldn't since I've never never had more than 2 million in my BB career.

However, if someone who has completed his arena is able to compete with minimum salary, he would be punished exactly the same way people who are actually tanking. If someone is able to accumulate cash while competing he shouldn't be affected by measures designed to tackle tanking.

This already happened for those measures designed for daytrading which impacted everyone (eg. people rebuilding etc).

So please, at least this time make it so that those who are actually trying are not treated the same way as those who couldn't care less and log in once a month.
