First thing to do is get up the OD, so that he can play defense and not be a hindrance to winning. 2nd thing would be to work up the Passing.

He has quite nice starting secondaries.

Edit: I also, would recommend that him being 6'2 you train him as an SG... or an Outside focused SF... but at 6'2 getting his IS/ID up will be really tasking.

I don't have much to say on this thread that hasn't already been said as I think both options are good: you want a 5+ trainer but if you can't find one that has a low enough wage and doesn't end up in a bidding war, selling to someone who does should give you good money too.
