2-3 seems to me to be the best defense against inside tactics.

At your level I 100% agree. When you get to the higher levels w/ better guards you find that they are able to adjust as the game goes on and start hitting more outside jumpers but they still dont take many 3's.

However you probably lose out on the rebounds.

According to the manual running a 3-2 actually doesn't decrease rebounding at all. I believe this is true in a 3-2 vs outside tactic. Vs an Inside Tactic the inside tactic itself will result in more offensive rebounds vs any defense than a base offense would as more people are crashing the basket.

Do you mean that Man to Man and 3-2 zone provide the same rebounding ratings? I don't think that would be right :S

You wouldn't think so however as I said from the Manual it says there is only a decrease in Inside Defense in a 3-2 not rebounding.

I suppose the Manual doesn't say it, but my experience suggests that a 3-2 zone reduces rebounding rating.

Perhaps for the reasons I listed above involving OR's or that it works better matchupwise for your players.
