then why should we vote for you?

- Experience: I began on season 4. As I said, I built two players (4545928) (7902802) for NTs and got in touch with different staffs. More experienced help is on its way.

Building two U21 players does not equate to authoritative experience with regards to winning games. Yes, you may have won a championship or two in the past six seasons, but those came from a team which had one or two very dominant players. Such a team structure doesn't exist in any National Team, given that all players almost have an equal skill level. Clearly, while we sincerely appreciate your effort in developing excellent players for the Spanish & Philippine team, I believe you don't have sufficient experience yet with regards to managing a team with almost equal skill levels.

The kind of coaching experience we need is someone that has managed a well-balanced team, while being very unpredictable yet shrewd with regards to game tactics.

Fun. Community oriented project.

This is very difficult in your part because not all Filipinos are comfortable with using English. Typically, we use Tagalog/Filipino when conversing in the chat, and having to force ourselves to use English disables many from freely expressing themselves. If you want a project that is fun and community-oriented, you must learn how to speak the language of the community. Otherwise, it will be very hard to communicate with them. Therefore, it is next to impossible for a foreign coach to design a community-oriented project, unless, of course, he can speak Tagalog and know what type of humor we like, etc.

Why would we want a manager from another country? There would be many difficulties in language, expressions in chat, and etc. It would be hard for some managers to chat with you or send comments. Im not saying that you are not worthy, but think of the difficulties, the time difference, the language, the focus. Im not so sure about our trust to you being our National Team Manager.

I don't mind if he is a foreigner or local, but I will vote for the best choice. If Smart Gilas has a foreign coach, why not.

Especially if the other candidates are not active in the election forums.

Here is a question. How will you ensure that the success of our U21 gets translated to success for the NT?

do you know agency theory?

agency theory is separation of the owner ( which is the principal) and the manager (which is the agent).

in this theory the owner must give the manager the sufficient and appropriate share in the profit of the company so that this manager will going to do all his best just to make the company achieve its goal and objectives, also to gain more profits..

in case of smart gilas.. the foreign coach (agent) of it is going to do all his best because he has the appropriate and sufficient salary to be given by our country (principal)..

now i ask u,, in case that the foreign coach win in the election,, what appropriate and sufficient something can we give to that foreigner so that he is going to do his best as a nt coach? ^^

note. pasali pala sa debate,, cezzz,, bilis,, support me,, hehehe

What's important here is the trust of our countrymen. Oo nga, nagtrain siya ng Filipino player para makatulong sa ating NT but majority of us Filipinos ay gustong pinoy rin ang manager. What if kung country natin at country nya ang lalaban? Wala tayong magawa but to worry of what will happen.

Ang NT natin ay may big disadvantage kumpara sa ibang countries since nagenter tayo sa game na to Season 3 pa BUT the Philippines started reaching 1000+ users on season 6-7. Just like JSmoove said on U21 forums,
"cguro for me dapat ung mga di ginagamit sa NT gamitin sa u21. actually dapat pririoty nga u21 since at level tayo with other countries with skills, rather than the NT with our opponents having 2 seasons training ahead of us."
But past is past.

We have our new recruits na galing lang sa U21 team. We have four centers who reaches 100k+ salary, 8 40k+ small forwards who can play SG also and 3 40k+ PG. I know this would be a great change sa ating NT and would help us to climb up the rankings and to level what our U21 has achieved.

I am new here (less than 3 weeks) but i will agree to the point why hire someone not pinoy to coach the NT team?

Everything is a learning process, we succeed in life through trial and error. I am sure there are pinoy managers out there who are more than capable of coaching the NT team to new heights. The newer you are in management type games, the more disadvantaged you are. No matter how you want to accelerate your players growth, the simple fact of having less time to train is already one thing the hinders us from really competing with the older NT teams.

Using the U21 team as a base, if everything starts from scratch we are very capable of going head to head with most teams here in BB. Patience they say is a virtue...

All I am saying is I will keep an open mind. I will vote for the most qualified. If BB-Charles ran for our NT, I would vote for him.
The outgoing NT coach of Switzerland (#3 in the world) is German. But I will not discount anyone just because he is not a local manager. If they are both equally capable, of course I will support the local candidate.

Last season, when our NT coach was replaced, if you were given a choice between a local that didn't do anything (or seemed like that) compared to a foreigner who did his job like Lia, who would you rather have?

Again I am not against a Filipino being our NT coach, but the game allows a manager to run for an NT post anywhere. Don't discriminate based on that. Vote based on capability. They will have a harder time but if they are that capable, they can overcome them.

So may the best candidate, local or foreign, win.

By this time, I hope most of you took the right to vote (well done). I won't tell you which is the best choice regarding having a national coach or not. I think everyone should have his own opinion.

What if kung country natin at country nya ang lalaban?

For example, in Spanish basketball (not BB) NT we have an Italian coach, Sergio Scariolo. Some people don't like him much, but I have never heard any complain when we play against Italy. Not to mention what GM-Devastator said about Switzerland or different basketball teams. But again, it is up to you.

There would be many difficulties in language, expressions in chat, and etc.
(...)
but think of the difficulties, the time difference, the language, the focus. Im not so sure about our trust to you being our National Team Manager.

I understand what some of you say about difficulties in language. I hadn't thought it was such a big problem as every speech was written in English. If you prefer to speak Tagalo, I encourage you to do so. And if you think I am not the most suitable one, I strongly encourage to vote for the one you consider the better.

In some matches, I went into the chat. It was strange for me that in U-21 semifinals (I would say the most important national match for this season) I only found another supporter. I hope this will change as community grows.

I have to leave now. I'll be back in a while and answer some of the pending questions. But I want to encourage that you take your own decission and insist that I won't mind the result : no matter that I win or lose, I will give you my help if you ever ask me for it.
