I'm not convinced that he's quite over his violent tendancies yet.

I don't think he is one of those fouling type players. He only averaged 1.4 fouls per game this season. I have seen a lot worse than that - even on guys with solid defense and good experience.

I think he fouled a lot during the round robin because he had some match-up issues.

"Show me the" Numbers Ali is going to be one of those great "glue guys" to have on your squad. Vocal in the dressing room and the first to stand up for his men on the court and dive for loose balls. As well known for his dressing room pranks as his goofy hair he is bound to go far with this U21 team! Just keep team chemistry in mind before you go making cuts in your roster!

He is a really good player... If you are open for suggestions, I would work on his inside and outside d this season (hopefully one position) and then get his jump shot up. I will be in touch as the season goes on as I will definitely want to see how he progresses.

Also note the change in my alias and also to my team name... You can call me "the manager formerly known as thenewchuckd" for now.

However, my new alias is HeadPaperPusher.

Well, my fabulous luck as U21 manager continues... The schedule for the first two games of the consolation tournament is up. Guess who we get to play two weeks in a row? None other than the 13th ranked team in the world - Suomi (Finland, I believe).

I was hoping to get some easy games at the start to build enthusiasm. Now what?

At first I thought it was a bug because I did not think you played a team twice until the knockout round. But it seems that I was wrong.

Finland's talent doesn't appear to be that much greater than ours, and U-21 rankings are very misleading considering every team gets overhauled at the end of the season at players get too old to continue with the U-21s. I wouldn't be surprised if the matches were split with each team winning their home match (assuming they don't put more effort than us in the match that gives us home-court advantage).

Yeah, to be honest I did not look at their team until now, although I am still cautious because the enthusiasm reset has not yet taken place. They may not necessarily have their best players on their roster.

Even if it is their best roster, the key phrase is "not much greater than ours". It seems they match us or better us by a bit at every position, at least salary wise.
