For me, it's been a season plagued by indecision if I may summarize it in a few words. I wanted to bring an NT level player these past few days but couldn't actually had the dineros to pull something that could really make a difference in the play offs ... so I ended up in saving mode and hope for the best.
Ah, no wonder. But it's not too surprising because you're just 5 seasons in. It took me 20 seasons of stockpiling money to have a large warchest at my disposal. Actually I wanted to stockpile more because I was still below the profit tax limit, but then I was super lucky in the semifinals draw, I got an easy team while the two powerhouses had to play each other. That gave me a boost in enthusiasm, so I went all in and bought myself a few top players. But yes, you did the right thing by prioritizing the future. I'm a firm believer of training players, even though it's a known fact that buying players off the market is easier and less financial demanding than training. But personally I feel that the overextension tax exemption plays a huge role when you are competing, because it will lessen your weekly expenses, which adds up to quite a bit. Currently I have 322k tax exemption, hopefully hitting 400k next season. That's gonna give me more space to stuff huge salary players in my squad without being hit with tax.
