I suspected I was in love with Perpete by all of his posts in the forums, but the Arnie quote sealed the deal.

Seriously, a few secondary teams coming and leaving I'd the least of micronations worries. It's no different than what's already happening.

Imagine there are 5 active teams country. Suddenly there 5 more teams with guys from different country who may not even be able to communicate with original guys (not everybody knows English, hope that not surprise you). And these guys are much more active then original guys, they are having fun. Being aliens in there own country couple of original guys decide to leave. After some time second team guys become bored or too busy to follow second team and they abandon them. We are in 3 active team completely frustrated country.

So what I'm saying - go with second teams idea it has its positives, just limit allowed proportion of second teams to 20-30% per country and make even more strict restrictions for micronations or use premoderation for second team request for micronations.

Man just go to your philanthropic mood and click at least 1000 banners per day at BB if you greedy enough not to pay Supporter.

The whole game can't leave from indirect income (this is called advertising model) it has to have subscription model also to survive. But it has to provide something in exchange for its subscribers. Not a subscriber? Sorry man, no right to whine about subscribers' features.

I think this is a great idea, i suggested it a couple years ago as well.

I am sure our community could come up with the volunteers to generate names and faces for BB if their staff wanted to work with us

it could also help to make this game a bit more attractive to women, which would boost the number of players

No man, in my opinion you are wrong, i play for free but i give some thing to the game, that maybe you don´t, you are so poor that what you only can give is money... I spend many hours a day helping newbies, answering questions in help forums in spain, trying to they can have a good hello inside the game, trying they don´t leave, maybe you only can give 40 us dolar a year.... maybe a i give 10 users to stay every year... what you give is important, but i give anything important too... i you don´t believe me, please ask to spanish users, i answer in almost all questions in help forum.

There many ways to pay, i said you, but you only can see the money.

I am in favor of the proposal.

Generally speaking I look upon it as a possibility to create higher competitiveness in leagues which lack enough users to be satisfyingly competitive for the already existing domestic users, I suppose that will happen not only through the creation of secondary teams, but also through the increased motivation of domestic teams to compete with active users. I see it as a kind of a greenfield investment in the playing economy of these countries, experienced managers will serve as a boost for the development of BB basketball in those countries. Of course all this is based on the assumption that the majority of secondary teams will be created in those countries. However, even if the majority of secondary teams go into large BB countries, which I do not predict, some of them will surely finish in smaller countries, which can still be a boost, having in mind some of them count less than 10 users.

I have read a major part of the discussion and I see there are people who are willing to buy supporter because of this innovation. I may be one of them too. Thus, there sure will be financial benefits from it. I don't see any financial shortcomings that might result from it on the other hand.

I don't see how it might reduce cheating since whenever there appears a new instrument of playing, it opens up the door for crafty and cunning people to use it as a cheat, but that should not be a reason to backtrack from the innovation, majority of the people do not cheat and I suppose that everywhere in BB world ( I am assuming this from the example of Serbian BB community) cheaters are more or less easily identified but hardly prosecuted because of the lack of proofs, still they are not so well respected and I don't think they can ever achieve the same degree of pleasure from their gaming success as the ordinary players do, and that in itself is a kind of a "moral" sanction.

As for the problem of foreign managers, I feel it might struck a chord because of the BB's territorial structure. However, as I was able to understand there exist in lot of countries, players who are only residents or dual nationals so I don't see it as a big problem in cultural terms. I am sure that, again, the majority of players will choose countries to which they are attached in some way, and will certainly try to get in touch with the local community, and not act as complete aliens, bear in mind those will be supporters, players that spend lot of time playing this game and certainly care about their reputation in BB community.

Supporters already play private leagues in which they can experiment even more than they would do with secondary teams since the competitiveness is not all that important, therefore I do not see the objection of supporters gaining further tactical advantage valid enough.

I find that secondary teams must be allowed to compete in BBB, however if it happens that both teams from the same user have qualified for the current season tournament, then the secondary team should be prevented from playing. That way the challenge for the double team user and the certainty of fair play for the rest would be preserved.

YES - 56%
NO - 44%

I really didn't think so many people would be against 2nd team. Based only on those percentages I don't think BBs should make 2nd team for supporters an option (and I support the idea). But if they think 2nd team will bring more revenue in order to make the site even better, I think this result shouldn't stop them.

I think the majority of people voting against are afraid of "better" competition. Cowardly.

Considering that the majority of users voting comes of the most populous countries, I believe the cowardice and fear of competition is not one of the reasons ..

Considering that the majority of users voting comes of the most populous countries, I believe the cowardice and fear of competition is not one of the reasons .

that might seem like an easy conclusion but strangely enough many posters here (from big countries) pointed out, that this feature might be an advantage for supporters, because they gain more experience from this.

i suppose the votings against this feature were made out of a very broad spektrum of reasons. there are people who fear for the effect this might have in lower leagues and for the integration of newbies. then there are ppl who are jealous of this feature somehow. other fear competition. some might vote against this because they prefer Utopia and didn't read the first post. there are many reasons i guess.
but i believe 'the cowardice and fear of competition' is probably one of this reasons ..
