As I said, look down at the lower leagues and see how the general level of skills has improved. It speaks for itself.

Do you really think that training in the last 3 seasons has the same economic relevance as 7 season ago? If yes, ok, you've won and we can stop to discuss, if not we are on the same boat ;)
Btw I don't want to convince anyone, BBs should have all the details to analyze the situation in the most difficult countries and they can see that the 80% of the teams are the same teams since years :p

Of course, ratings and skills are relevant as it is bought with money and the value of skills has plummeted. Isn't it what you are complaining about ? Why are you talking about training then ? Training produces skills that you convert into money and vice versa.

At the beginning of BB, this was a starting lower league team (55599) and this was a top league team (55599), they started the same, because the top league was new too :) All the teams were the same, there was no gap between leagues.
Today, this a starting lower league (55599) and this is a top league team (56221). The gap has grown larger and is huge now. The reason why it was possible before to raise quickly was that the gap was small.
Banan is a special case and if you check his transfer history, don't use the mouse wheel to scroll down the page or you'll get a tendonitis before reaching the end :)
