You are thinking logically and this game has nothing to do with logic. SB training trains Rebounding, WHY? Why does training handling give you OD partial training? Nothing makes sense.

You know the times when you block a shot and regain possession? That's very logical IMO.

That said handling training boosting OD is quite a stretch because it can be literally done alone. But maybe the BBs envisioned the player dribbling against a defender. I mean, since they mentioned that high handling is needed to break good perimeter defense or pressing defenses in the game manual. But OD for driving training makes more sense than OD for handling training IMO.

Performance= Yes, salary= NO

If my guy is sitting on 16.8, I'm not paying the salary of 17. It has been said in the past, you don't pay for decimals.

Are you sure? I will be the first to say I'M wrong or just didn't know, but I thought it was said way back in the day that salary only increases when you get to the next whole number. 16 is the same salary as 16.9 but once you hit 17 the salary increases. I will try and find it but I read it a long time a go.
