But even if the app will take forever to be developed, it would already be way better if this website had a mobile version. That would at least help a bit. I‘m used to navigate this site and therefore am able to do it on a mobile device - but it‘s definitely not much fun and I guess as a new user who‘s mainly playing this game on a smartphone, this would kill the fun right away. Especially since you‘ve got to read a lot when you get started...

An considering 2xserver or something alike: that would definitely get me out of this game. The faster a game moves, the faster I‘ll quit. For me the weekly schedule is perfect and shouldn’t be changed. At least not for me. But hey - i‘m 10 years older than when I started playing so I guess I‘m just old

Well, the schedule of the core game will probably never be changed in a dramatic fashion like Alonso suggests - but hey, that's only for the basic - vanilla - BB. Other options are still there, making Utopia weeks last 3 days instead of 7 or have more games per week or something else. I'm open to that. But, there needs to be a real discussion about it.

BB has proven over and over again that it is not a typical internet "fad" or "money grab" like most internet based games. That means a lot to me, I wanna keep it that way. Yes the game is slow comparing to today's standards. But also, this game attracts a different breed of people, who prefer it at the pace it already is.

So, since this discussion is veering heavily toward the suggestions forum, I might end up moving it there. So far, I don't mind hearing opinions as long as we stay civil and constructive.

I like the strategic aspect of this game, I loved to play at Civilization instead of Age of empire so peace is perfect for me. No need to rush in a game too.
Agree about the fact that "bug" is not the correct part of the forum to discuss about new suggestions btw you need to pay attention cause forum in these days seems not so active and the result of pool and/or suggestions may be not rapresentative of the majority.

No problem, I said I'll leave this thread open for this discussion as long as we keep it civil. Alonso, your opinion is heard and accepted, and others may share it, it is certainly not the consensus. Can we agree that there is a substantial number of managers that don't agree with you? Managers that wouldn't like such radical changes?

We are aware of the user numbers drop. There are choices we made in the past that led to this, choices we're not proud of, of course, but they were made with the best of intentions. There were also some choices we were very proud of. It's easy now to look back and point fingers but at the time, it was impossible to predict the future. While your suggestion to make another, 2x server may (and that's a big may) help with user retention, the reality is, there are just no resources to do that. I can tell you right away that it's not going to be done because there is no one to do it. Sad but true. We have limited resources and we must carefully choose what we do with them, where to point our time and ultimately, funds.

I'm personally very much aware that the app might not be the solution we're all looking for, yet we still need to complete it. Has the main site suffered because we decided to turn our focus to it? Of course, you all felt it, we know it and things only get done here, at the primary point of income, if we spend time working here. That means that we cannot spend time elsewhere. It's a trade-off, as it always is in life. What will these choices amount to, only time will tell.

Very clever idea, I love it!

Since there is an issue with B3, NT and Tournament scheduling we could mantain the 14 weeks per season by making relegation and finals series a best of 7, also 1st and 2nd round of play-offs a bo5 series. The 8th seeded teams could scrimmage each other twice a week until the finals are over without paying salaries, same for the eliminated teams from the play-offs and the play-out teams. That way every team can have at least 2 games for training each week. Maximum amount of games played until a team wins the finals would be 17, right now its 5, that means we are adding 4 extra weeks in the 10 that Joe suggested!

Downside to this would be that offseason would feel very long for 8th seeded teams and eliminated teams in the 1st round of play-offs, but I think its realistic if you consider what's happening in almost every league around the real world with teams either having a deep play-off run in the postseason or getting eliminated early, while the rest of the teams are just having a longer offseason. This would raise competition during the regular season and make tanking a lot less appealing since boredom factor would kick in to managers that would have to play only scrimmages for 4 weeks!
