No, i used the "new option" by draftstreet's.
I renew usually my supporter under Xmast so i had it "fresh" when Draftstreet promotion appears.

Νice one!

Tell me something. Many users in Greece, registered on DraftStreet but couldn't make a deposit, because they were stating a US state that doesn't approve it or something like that.
Apparently, you cannot state Greece as home residence.
Did you have to go through the same channel and if so, which US state did you input or is it ok to declare Italy as your residence?

About state, i select casually (i still don't know the "meanings" of some US state code).

But about payment, i used my paypal account, so no need to choose a US state...

Well, despite the impossibility of creating an utopia, I have nonetheless put my name on the list now. Next step; coming up with a name that's just as funny as "You Should've Dunked!" :P

Must admit I'm getting a little excited about the 2nd team. Really just eager to know when we'll get access to etc...?

Have many peeps decided on a strategy yet for their new team in its first season or is it the...'I'll wait and see my team first' thinking most are employing?

There seems to be two initial paths:

1. Tank, train and build; or
2. Buy cheap oldies and go for it!

Other options? Mixture between the two?

I'm hoping for a nice trainee to start out with so I don't have to try to purchase one and then I will most likely try to promote up by buying 26-29 year olds that are cheap but efficient and work from there. The nice thing is, for the first however many seasons, you do not have to win your league, just be in the top part of your league and you will still promote. I plan to try to utilize that.Teams that go all out in the first few seasons will not be able to make it to the top league and stay there, people who tank and save money and train will take awhile to get to the top, so there is a fine line.

Good logic, EBW.

Peeps will also have to consider:

* greater demand on trainers = higher prices
* greater demand on older, efficient players = higher prices
* importance of Utopian players = merch boost

And a lot more...

Either way, it's going to be a great experience and I think a healthy challenge for manages...

I'll probably do something similar to EBW, looking for a PAS or so big man to train up as I go for promotion. In my dream world, everyonr would have guys under 10k for a season or two, maybe with restricted transfers or something, but obviously people will be pushing hard to promote so I'll have to invest more money than I'd like. I'm still going to focus more on building my team than promoting at first though.

I'm going to go about it just like I would if I restarted and ended up in an established IV league. I'll look for some budget trainees, and if I can find some Utopian players with good skills and cheap, which will never happen, maybe pick them up. I haven't decided yet if I'm going to let myself buy "foreign" players because there's really not going to be trained Utopian players yet, or if I'm going to just take the hit and wait and worry about promotion a few seasons later.
