Bro, nice reply. I wanna talk about your team Red Red Rose. Do you have any plan for this season and also future plan? What is your target? I mean you wanna play in HK biggest league? Or you wanna train one of the talent for HK? Or both of these, Or so many things what you want? But you need a time.

First thing do you have any training plan for this season? Who will be your trainee? Do you want to buy under 21 talent roster again and train again? this is depend on you. Important thing the training is for what you want? I mean you train the trainee for your team ( he will be played all the way for your team ) so you used a bit of your money for your training plan. May be you train the trainee for money ( you find cheap and good condition trainee and after that sell for profit ). May be you wanna help for your National Team? all are depend on you. Actually that questions for all.

For your information, I always believe everything will go on the right track if training wisely. If you take a look at my team, you'll see quite clearly who are my trainees. I bought 3 SF trainees long time ago and have decided to hold on them for a long time. Why do I choose SF to train? Because they are the most sustainable in terms of salary and nearly every team lacks a balanced SF. They are most difficult and take the longest time to train, but I'm not afraid of this. And now several seasons after I start training, where have I gone? All of my three trainees are current / past U21 members. (my Iran kid was the starting SF for Iran U21 last season, and he'll be my starting SF forever) And my team lost to a maybe league 1 team in last year's PO semifinal, and that's because of HCA and my starting C and PF fouled out in the 4th quarter. I actually have a team that will make the PO in league II, so I'm confident I will get promoted this year. I do not have to spend so much time on my own team, which is also one of the reasons I run for this election.

I aim high when I first started training. I believe all my trainees are NT potential. Now they have all made U21. I will train them until they are capped. I always target to play in the top league, which is quite possible in 2-3 seasons and I already planned that these 3 trainees will occupy both forward positions when I get there. And my plan has gone pretty well.

The problem in SG is most of the team manager are train the trainee for NT. And then they train very well. The trainee also upgrade so fast. but some of the team have no balance for other. And no promote to high lvl also. But the trainee salary is increase by increase each season. After that cannot keep their trainee because of economy. So they will sold the trainee and train again new trainee. Do you think in this situation the team will be get profit or lost?

I know you help to SG a lot. I wanna say about one point of view only. So now I am thinking about i will cover for this problem in future for SG. I mean I will try to advice some team by BB-mail. :)

Remarks: Bro your some rosters are quite great. I think you must need to keep some roster for your team. And I hope you will try to promote your team this season. High league can find more money. And then If you cannot maintain in top in league don't be so sad. That is good chance to get talent roster. good luck bro...

To answer the second part of your question, I agree this situation is common in SGP. That's the topic that I talk about many times, both in this thread and the [U21 season19] thread. It's team interest vs U21 interest. From U21 view, we want out young prospects get trained, and at a fast rate. But that the salary keep rolling and become unaffordable, and these players go overseas forever. Situation is especially common for big men training teams. Probably overseas players still get trained, but it brings us to the old problem: you get little back after a few seasons' dedicated training. I always stress training should not only benefit U21, but their own teams as well. This is the concept of own team growing together with players. As U21 staff, we share the responsibility of raising SGP teams quality.

Solution? Well, first thing is I place team interest over U21 interest to some extent. I would never guide a SGP team to train a >$60000 21 yo player. I want monster, but if it means the team training him need to restart again, then no. But if a foreign team gets a great kid, I'd say,"go for it!" Second thing, we need to give teams tailor-made guidance. Ask for their economic status, if they can afford it, aim a little higher. Third thing, I would not only talk about that particular trainee with the manager, but also about how to make the team better in general. For example, how to use money wisely, like when you start training, spend most money on buying more trainees and trainer. If there is still money left, expand arena. Keep the other players cheap. After u save money for a whole season, ur trainee get better and also higher salary, buy a few veterans in other positions with affordable salary (about $10000-$20000). Make sure u still earn money every week. If you feel you have the chance to get promoted, buy 1-2 better players just before PO, so that you don't have to pay so much salary. I always think once you have chosen your trainees, don't stop halfway. Make them your star players. It's easier to manage for the U21 as well. I don't like selling half product just because you see there is a pretty good trainee on the market.

One thing I want to advance is that it's actually quite good to train players with slightly different skill set and projection. This is also what I am doing. Indeed I am training 2 SF and 1 PF. PF surely needs IS. SF needs IS as well, esp in this LI world, but no increase in salary for IS pop. Isn't it good? Another case is OD. SF needs OD a lot and if you play in a high league, then your PF surely needs some OD, but OD cost little for PF. I suggest making use of this tiny skill. But of course if you want to train a good SF and PF at the same time, it's difficult and needs the help of a little difference in starting time.

3. As you said, the number of managers in BB Singapore is decreasing. Do you have any plans which can increase the number of managers, or are you just trying to maintain the current number?

4. Your solution towards silent managers is having a Q&A thread. We actually had a Q&A thread once. It was created by a new player who wanted to ask for advice, but that thread did not live for long. It's not hard to start a Q&A thread. But is there anyone there to ask you questions? Is there many lower league teams who bother to post in the forums or even access the forums? As a U21 manager who has virtually seen and tried it all, I can tell you that talking is much easier than doing. How are you going to use to make these dormant users come alive and start posting in the forums?

These are the 2 questions that I am asked long ago and I'd like to give some answers here.

First we must ask ourselves what make us stay in and enjoy this game and what make others leave. Of course there are factors like real life and time, but the main factors are always our experience in the game. If you get good result or you get much enjoyment in training or you get a long term target to work on then you will probably stay and be active. If you have no direction for building a team and you keep losing and you keep doing useless training, then you leave. Sometimes training itself is good, but it takes time before the result comes so people may be impatient and leave. Another problem for SGP is that the community is not only small, but quiet and discreted. The atmosphere is not warm and encouraging for new comers. Here are some of my suggestions for how to make the SGP community "tighter":

1) like I said yesterday, give teams not only guidance on how to train that potential U21 player, but also general advice on how to make the team better. Make them feel they are supported. This is the key thing. But this is only applicable to those teams owning potential U21 players. How about the other many teams? This lead me to the second point.

2) The U21 staff or some other experienced managers regularly check if there are new teams. Send them a mail and give them general idea of training. Tell them if they have questions they can mail back us or post their question in the forum.

3) Check if there are some teams that have been around for some time but not active and their teams still look like a mess. Tell these teams to start training right now.

Lastly, referring to terfu's question, I want to specify 2 points:

1) yes, I'm trying to maintain the current number of managers. I don't want some people come but more people leave. I believe if you enjoy this game, you'll share it with your friends and others. The most important thing is make those already here stay. But surely we need to let more people out there know this game. Apart from advertising using personal channel, setting up a thread in a local game forum maybe also good.

2) I do not expect those dormant users to come alive. OK I need the forum more active, but it's not my prime aim. In Malaysia, not many people post in the forum as well, but the managers there are actually quite sophisticated and active privately. I just hope there will be more this kind of managers in SGP.
