Fun fact: in the Asian Cup we have 3 Korean, 3 Japanese, 1 U.A.E. and 1 Prathet Thai in the quarter-finals. With Gangnam being the strongest but also with the strongest opponent and playing away. Would be great if all three korean teams advanced but I guess it's more likely that all of them get thrown out of the tournament or only one will advance ...

just goes to show you never know.... I kinda gave up on this game seeing that I lost game shape on a critical piece of the puzzle due to transfer list sale. Maybe I overestimated their strength, or underestimated our own potential.. and the strength of home court advantage. And definitely didn't foresee the hack attack at the beginning of the game happening.

despite all that, we kept it close. could we have won? maybe.... but there goes the 6-2 season.... and we'll have to put work towards a 5-3 result. let's get after it!

I was shocked at this result. when i turned in, it was 28-28.. i thought you'd crush them


Yes, I also was rather unhappy seeing the close result ... could've been a win. But if you finish 5-3, you're definitely ahead of China. Though Morwood probably is going to end up in front of you. So you'll just have to win a couple of games in the knock-out-stage, statsman.

back on track... hopefully game shapes are on point next week and our game pans out and we stay on track to make it to the knockout stage. A lot to hope for... i know. ;)

I guess I'm just a bad u21 team manager this season. I have quite a good team. You, statsman, would probably be at 6-0 with that roster. I however am probably going to miss the playoffs. But I'll try my best to keep China behind us, even though they already have 4 losses (but they started out with 0-2, we did with 0-0^^). It all started with the -1 loss against Ireland for me...can't be helped.

Continue your great work, I guess I'm way better at training players (and directing their training) that choosing the right tactics.

I think it's just the case of a really fortunate schedule this season... and even with that, I think we might not make the playoffs due to the really bad drubbing we received in the first game... and more than likely the drubbing we'll receive in our last game. The bad PD will probably be what does us in unfortunately.

Yes, that's rather unfortunate. But we'll see, maybe you'll surprise us (again).

Btw: We had 2 Japanese semi-finalist in the Asian Cup, 1 Korean and 1 from Thailand. And the Finals are being played by Gangnam from Korea and Toronto from Thailand. A little bit suprising, especially since Toronto got a double-GDP wrong but his enthusiasm was probably a bit higher and he seems to have played PO-crunch time...

And yes, I like it that HT Kim (being trained by me) had such a great game. I hope GS stays like this so that Perpete can win another couple of "scrimmages" in the second round.
