Unless they're your players... right?

Pfft... I got what the market would bear. I listed him at marginally below what his TPE was ($500k), and he got more. Quite a bit more. He's still not old (28), had a good distribution of skills (tho' I did not like his IS) - and I am not overly surprised that he got what he did. He's a good player for a mid-level team, which is where the vast majority of BB players fall. I'd guess the biggest slice of the BB population falls into 'big nation' divs IV to III... and that's where he fits. The market has a greater need for players of his ilk than those with better skills, and thus higher salaries.

I think I could push a bit harder, and give some of you a bit of a scare... but then I would have to abandon what I'm doing training-wise. I'm content to watch from the sidelines for another season or so.

I'll give some props on the win....but Stunners was training a 22 yr old SF at PG for 48....So, I myself wouldn't beat my chest so much. It was an easy scout, he has 3 trainees and 1 of them already got 48 last game. So, you knew you were going to face a low OD at PG and that his Flow would be affected. Nice tactic pick...Eguchi's ID is better than his OD(both are pretty high) so he would have done better against a LI.

Always finding the positive elements of my wins. One must have hope!!!

Just think if he would have started his new 18 yr old at PG with his level 1 passing....you would have won by more than 7 for sure.
I have to be happy with my win over swoosh...got lucky that je has a human in the cup..

I agree that 5th's kinda "meh" now... and if I finish 4th - fine with that. KABOOM... he's going to hit some trouble unless he builds that arena (only at 11k). Not as bad as Shinaga, but still. He can't be making much money.
Neither of them spent a whole lot of money on their new additions, so whilst they will both be dangerous teams (and I play them in the same week) - those players bought are likely to be fairly one dimensional.

As far as making money on transfers... I think it's still possible. But I think the profit margin's better if mid-level players are bought in down times, and sold later when the buying's up (just prior to playoff eligibility, and at the beginning of a season).

For me, I'm really a season or so from Slow Train (Tim) and K-Mat being *ready*. I still don't want to lock them in at C/PF as yet.

Nope, same as BB - based on your IP. VERY BIG Japanese contingent too, I'm not sure why you "can't imagine many Japanese being into HT". It's football Wolph, our host nation LOVES IT.
