My goal for joining Utopia is simple.

Play against real managers, that are ACTUALLY dedicated and playing and setting tactics, training, etc.

I am sorry I did not know about buzzer beater 20+ seasons ago when that was a possibility.

but this is as close to a "reset" for that as I see.

Private leagues just don't cut it.

I want competition, not competition in 2+ years.

Utopia is gonna bring in some money and interest people with money.

I don't see anything bad about this.

There are other issues which are driving people away...I don't think Utopia makes any impact there really one way or the other. It should just give BBs some money and motivation to finally fix other glaring issues with their game.

Sometimes, like the LI issue I think they might be a day late and a dollar short. Now the tactic predictions, allthough not entirely popular in method, have seriously weakened LI only teams and builds. The b3 is featuring many other tactics now. Li is still strongest, but people have to mix it up to avoid prediction.

In this tactically challenging game those that hated LI all day have probably mostly already quit BB. People who really wanted the way it is now, hated LI so much...they had already quit. Now who is left? People who liked it simple and easy. People who liked farming up super LI guards etc. OD/PA/IS everywhere plug it in, tank, bank, rent etc. Now this world goes away, they don't like BB anymore because tactic setting and opponent scouting got complicated. They can't just win with farmed players no more.

Hopefully BB can fix some other issues and then try to advertise etc. again and get a new player base. Hopefully.

I would hope that the next implementation they build is something like regional super leagues for micro nation's. Instead of having small countries like NZ, Japan, Thailand, etc you could just dump them all in an Asian super league for countries of under say 100 teams, and use the same model as this utopia (everyone starts in div4) or even seed you all based on world ranking.

right now a country like NZ, that has 41 active mgrs, has 3 bot teams in its div1 league, and a couple more that are inactive. If that's the best you can hope for you will eventually quit the game. Where as in USA I have been playing for 13 seasons and am still in div3, while competing every season (i.e. I am not training or farming etc)

Perhaps don't be so quick to cast down judgment on something you're not familiar with?
I LIKE playing in my adopted nation (regardless of what wolph/shiffd says).

My goal for joining Utopia is simple.

Slightly different thing (tho' it's ended up being exactly that!) - the thread is "reason for getting a second team?"

My reason was to experience a larger nation that also happened to be my homeland (Australia).

Fair enough. My wife says I need to improve my grammar, and this is a good example of that as well.

Heh...

Was definitely not an attack on your grammar! You'll have to excuse me, I'm a bit salty about the restrictive nature of "2nd teams" here at BB.
