to be honest if i chose inside focus i always go for li because i dont have this kind of a dominant center, but nice forwards and well rounded guards.

(23031396) dont care about the low teamratings. but the matchuptaings (points/100) are pretty typical when i play li.
maybe you check out (34582). he is a leage opponent of mine and spezialized for look inside.

i have to admit that i never ever played lp by myself or faced a team playing lp in the near past. i 'm sorry i can't help you here.

maybe this thread lives on, because i'd also be interested in the answers of some experienced managers out there.

The Rule book says slower Offense allows bad teams to hang around, so would LP be a bad systems to play as your default compared to the more up tempo LI?

don't know where you read this ;) But quality is always depends on the quality of the opposition, so there are no tactics you could just play in top divisions, because it depends on the priority you choose for your rooster and your relativ qualities.

In the past Lp work better for my team, but after some changes and training time my team seems to execute Li better - but the difference is not really big but for finetuning it is always good to use sometimes tactics with different speed to see how your team performs with it.

A slower pace will often result in higher-quality shots, but occasionally will result in bad shots at the end of the shot clock. Fewer possessions in the game also means that scores will be lower, which means that bad teams can stay closer to good ones.?

It was what the Rule book was basically saying.
I understand there is no one way to play, to a point, but just felt the idea of Low Post was missed a bit in the game engine. The idea that more bad shots maybe taken in pursuit of the perfect shot at the end of the shot clock, was kind of lost on me. Possessions should result in getting the best shot possible within the 24 seconds, not passing up a shot in the hope of getting one 2% better than what you had.
Low Post is the way I would like to play, but not if there is a floor in that type of Offense, .i.e Princeton or Patient, where other teams have an advantage if they play RnG or L.I.

based on my experience i would say, if you have an ok passing/handling guards with sf and good inside scorers play look inside, if you have good passing/handling guards with sf and an ok inside scorers play low post. passing at center/pf also helps a lot. if neither of those apply to your team, do not play inside.

So much depends on the match-up between teams, that in this type of discussion it is very difficult to get a consensus because there really isn't one. I have scored 130+ playing the slowest paced tactic in the game. I have scored 70 playing push the ball. Tactics should be chosen based on your team's relative strengths against a particular opponent. This is another reason why having a balanced team is a good strategy. It allows you flexibility to play various players and various tactics to match up better with different opponents.

Once I scored a basket that still makes me laugh.

I understand your point. Say I Play look Inside all the time but have the outside scoring to full back on. You play me 2-3 Zone, I have scoring out there to take advantage of it or enough inside scoring that your D doesn't matter. Hence the debate for L.I. or L.P. as a default way of playing.
I don't think you need to change systems all the time if you are exceptional in one area, but good enough in another that you can full back to it.

This is a very interesting point to me, if this is true. I have spent alot of time on the Passing element of the game, moving my team to Med Hig on Offensive flow, so this would work much better for me than L.I. If there is no other issue with scoring over L.I. then this would be the answer I was looking for & set this as my "Default" way of playing. Default is used as 85% of the time.
Anyone else dispute the L.P over L.I. as stated above?

I agree with smedlock. I would also like to add that in look inside your guards need decent inside shot as well as they will take some inside shots. This isn't as important in low post.
