Wow anyone that puts Drose on a top 5 player list after this season is buying way too much into media hype. The bulls have been just as dominant with Rose as they have been without him. The real answer for the Bulls is that they are just a deep, well balanced and well coached team. When Lebron left the Cavs they went from 61-21 (best record in the east) to 19-63 and the defense and offense both bottomed out, especially during a record 26 game losing streak. Rose has proven to not even close that the important to the bulls. Not to mention he pulled a vanishing act in the 4th quarter against the Heat in the playoffs but somehow has that overlooked due to the media's instance to market Drose, despite the fact that he cost his college team (memphis) their entire season by cheating on his SAT; blatently ripping off his school and teammates who helped him go all the way to the championship game.
Not only is he a terrible role model and a vastly overrated talent, but a drastically overpaid and greedy one. After signing a contract for 94.8 million (the maximum possible deal via the DRose rule of the new CBA constituting 30% of his teams entire cap space) and getting a 250 million adidas endorsement (over 14 years) contract he owes his teammates and school much more for what he did to them. If he was truly a good teammate, then he would let his team have more cap space (like Tim Duncan did for the spurs), instead of going for the money. Overall he is vastly over hyped and he is a bad leader and role model.
