I told the big boys I had done all my aims.

Make D1.
Have an all West Indies & Aussie team.
Train Thad Haldey (draft pick) to the NT.
Get players on West Indies Rep teams (had 7 NT players before sellup)

So now I have a new aim, something I think has never been done before. I'll let you know how it goes. ;)

@ Violator, don't throw in the towel just yet mate; your team looks good. Need to give it time to adjust and perform imo.

Yeah I know, not throwing it in. Guess I just gotta get used to actual competition again. Titans do have the twin tower combo, the two highest ratings in the league to date!

I've been having a look at this league on this cold afternoon and I thought I'd drop a few words for you vios:

I use to look at the box score and analyse it. When I see your loss to WT, there is one thing that stands out. WT's players are ALL making somewhere close to 50% of their shots. I don't know the exact skillset of each of his player but looking at their salaries there is no way his guards can have such a high accuracy.

2-3 zone is fun but when his big men take 34 shots out of 82 with 50%, this is not working. You'll not win games when your defence allows 115pts. Go man to man, let his bigs drop 40-50pts on you but shut down his wingmen.

If you can afford this team all season long, my money is on you to promote!

I retract my comment about it being an anomaly. Looking again at the tactics played and results, I can see why the win makes sense.

Yeah I was surprised that Titans didn't play an IS type offense, after having a look at his previous game history. M2M does seem to be the safe option and I'll have to use it more often in future games.

It's probably a bit early to call favourites for promotion but I do appreciate the feedback ezlife! :-)

I would add this to Ezlife's comments...the 2-3 zone is still useless imo. I haven't seen a Div II / Div I game between quality opponents where the 2-3 was run with success (that is, shown to shutdown bigs effectively).
M2M is the smartest def still imo...at least until BB makes further adjustments as suggested.

Although I think it was a combination of things...including Wang's very offnight! 10/28 FG% And one cannot look past Koop's GM button which he surely pressed in this one! ;-)

Fair enough I was at home, but his roster is 130k greater than mine and his starting five is 120k greater.

I think it matters what players you use.

I've pressed the button so many times before that the "GM" pic on the button has faded.
Now I just press any button and hope for the best.
Its obvious I pressed the wrong button in last seasons ABBL grand finals.

The trick is finding that button again, there are so many buttons I forgot which one I pressed to beat abigfishy.
