If managers could do a quick check to make sure I haven't made any mistakes (or the program I use hasn't made any mistakes) as I can't see any.

NOTE: I'm also happy to change any team abbreviations if managers would like something particular. Just make it known ASAP so that Wagner can copy and paste the final copy into the main thread after I have made the corrections. :-)

LOL I think your game should be reasonably close. I got lucky drawing Buckner Bandits. They will still probably beat me, but at least I won't lose by 100 points in my first game!

Hi there, Chucarro. I apologise. With so many posts in this thread, we missed adding you formally.
I was going to not play, which is why (I think) you said you were willing if needed. Again, this is my fault as ultimately I have been able to compete.
If i hadn't missed your post (noted it), I would have bbmailed you and we would have worked it out.

Sadly, I missed your inclusion and I had thanked you and even said you would be included, so I am feeling a little embarrassed and sorry at the moment.

I'm not sure how to fix this?

Option 1: i can step aside and let you play (although i am really wishing to compete now that I have committed).
Option 2: we agree to 15 teams playing and I reform the schedule? Everyone...what do we think? It would mean one team would have a bye each week. Easy enough.
Option 3: we find 1 more team and I reform the schedule to have 16 teams playing. Again, easy enough as we have the time.
Option 4: Chucarro misses out and is an automatic inclusion in the next season (not nice for Chucarro)?

Thoughts anyone? Commissioner Wagner?

At this moment of the pre-season, I think it's easy to re-build the schedule, and play with 15 teams.

Agreed. Unless anyone objects, I will regenerate the schedule.

@ Buckner...let's see what the new schedule looks like before deciding what to do with our organised game.

Do we have a 16th Team? Would be better if even numbers so no byes. I will look through the thread and see if we do and reach out to them. Failing that, and no objections from anyone, I can simply redo a 15-team schedule.

I need to think this bit more to be able to form my opinion on this (I don't have time to do it right in this minute, but I wanted to comment something quickly), and will get back to it quite soon.

6 quick initial thoughts though:
- I thought Trouville was excluded for some reason (or maybe due to discussion being had in discord or by BBMail, of which I wasn't aware of) and didn't add him to our plans due to that
- @MrJ: with one team receiving bye each round, you mean like 50-0 forfeit win? If that's what you meant, I think we want to avoid every possible forfeits in this league, if at all possible, especially these that are easily avoidable.
But as for your "Option 2", why would that create a bye for one team, as wouldn't we just auto-create another schedule for 15 team league, making it 14 matches (instead of 13 which we have now) for each team, with regular season lasting 7 weeks?
- if we add Trouville, for me 16 teams in a way would be be more logical/better then, but please remember that it includes 15 games for each then, and when played at 2/week pace, we can only book them "7,5 weeks ahead" (as the maximum limit for PU matches is 2 months), so it is then very close and full regular season worth of matches needs to be organized just before season starts, or then (with 16 participating teams)
- as for finding 16th team we have some options (including a bit of time like MrJ mentioned, to find completely new team), but I think BigChill was one of the interested teams earlier, but I'm not sure if it was he himself mentioning/wondering if he'd be committed enough to play in this league (?)
- I hope MrJ stays in the league for many reasons, including that his place has been granted for him already, whatever of the other options we end up choosing. I think it's not only very "beneficial" (for the lack of a better word here) for many reasons for the whole league to have him as part of (and as a role of participating team of) HGL
- @Chucarro: so based on your message, you are still very much interested in joining HGL for this first season, and you were definitely expecting to be able to participate?

So I'll put my thinking hat on for a while, but as for initial thought I don't oppose adding 1-2 committed teams to the current lineup of 14. Auto creation of new schedules with website MrJ uses probably aren't a huge hassle (?) and we couldn't start to organize those matches yet anyway (again, remember; there is a 2 month maximum time window within the PU matches can be organized, not more than that).

When I say 'bye', Wagner, I refer to 1 team every round not having an opponent if we only have 15 teams. Yes, it would be 14 games, but it still means 1 team, every round, would have no opponent because of the uneven (15) number of teams = bye.

I have reached out to Erik from the N.Dragons as he was originally on the list until he decided not to because it was PickUp games. I have sent him a bbmail asking if he would reconsider.

If he doesn't want to, then yes, Big Chill should be asked.
