I understand you being devils advocate, I understand that Canada did not win a single game last season, but results are not the way to base success at the international U21 level in BB, just as beanerz said. The progress she has made with player tracking and scouting is unprecedented. I wish everyone could see the spreadsheets she is working with. It is some outstanding stuff.

Even if you want to look purely at results. Season 24 was U21 Canadas best season ever. Our first time in the U21 Americas Finals since Season 12. Season 12s team had HCA and some of the best U21 players Canada has ever seen. Seasons 12 team included, Christopher Moran, Momar Maja, Bryan Lacroix, Sylvain Milot(all went on to be NT studs), and put up better ratings than the Season 24 team ever did. In season 12. Christopher Moran is also arguably the greatest U21 player Canada has ever had(Glenn Richards the other candidate). So if you want to look at results, Kumiko had the most successful season ever. That is as good as we could have asked. Also, not a single person could have done anything different last season. If you or Sparky, or the current B3 champions had those players, You wouldn't have done any better. Its like taking a Division III salary roster and trying to compete with Naismith teams, it doesn't matter who is managing, You're going to lose.

Im sure if Sparkys interest and dedication to this game(which has not once been questioned) continues, than we will see him vying for these positions, but thats in the future, possibly the longterm.

Also, if he were to win this position, he would almost NEED access to the offsite forum. How would he be able to get game planning threads and roster discussion threads going? We can't do that onsite, thus the reason for the offsite.

Im just trying to avoid a possible disaster like Season 24 almost was Napoleon Bonaparte actually got 13 votes. Kumiko is the only capable candidate at all levels for this job right now.

And where is Napolean now? Oh right, he's a bot.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Answer this:

Which do you consider my better U21 term?

S22 8W-3L and S23 8W-3L = 16W-6L

or

S24 12W-1L and S25 0W-5L = 12W-6L

?????

I'll take S24+S25 any day, because we made worlds. Do you get it? 100 times out of 100 I would go 0-5 at worlds over 8-3 in some second rate piss ant consolation round.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

Which famous BB manager would you like to emulate and why?
I would choose Beanerz. Why?
1) Involvement in the game as a GM.
2) Involvement in the game as an NT coach.
3) Involvement in the game training a lot of Canadian talent.
4) More success than most within Canada.

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

I think we are all getting caught up in a petty debacle about who should spearhead the U21 team. Instead, we should be focusing on working together to manage the U21 team as a collective group of individuals rather than fight for one leader and let that one person essentially takeover the U21 team.

On that note, we still have to pick a main figurehead for the U21 team... Despite sparky's passion and enthusiasm, lets be honest, he is simply not of age to bear such responsibilities. Moreover, Kumiko has indeed done a fabulous job in the past and continues to do so. Therefore, for the imminent future Kumiko is still the clear candidate for the U21 manager; that does not mean that we cannot all work together to provide individual opinions and contributions.

**Note**

I will keep my name in the U21 election to just have an idea of where I stand in the public's vewpoint of my contribution to the Canadian community and garner some support for the National election next season.

I voted for Kumiko and also gave her the thumbs up for approval on the U21 page
and I know as I have stated throughout that she works endlessly to give Canada a fighting chance,
but this is the debate thread.
To say there is just her and forget about it is to say it's time to close the thread until she retires.
That's not a democracy and despite your socialist leanings of group responsibility, there is much sense in your last post.
One thing our leadership needs to do is connect in a friendlier and sometimes less know it all way.

Good point about working harder to connect in a friendlier manner. I agree that this is something that we all can and need to do.

It is very difficult however to put in a tremendous amount of time and effort only to be ripped on by people who were given ample oppertunity to provide input an chose not to. With that said we also need to find a way to get the entire community more interested and involved. You mentioned that the offsite forum is not working for you, is there something you can think of that you would like better?

If this is a common sentiment, then I will try. It is just not my personality. I just like putting everywhere and that is enough for me
And I don't know it all nor pretend to. There is more to learn about this game all the time.
