Marin talked about boosting small nations and raising competition, making the BB experience more enjoyable as opposed to playing bots.

But if you let managers choose where to open their second team, I'm sure they won't open it in a micronation for fear of lack of competition. So this isn't an argument that speaks in favour of 2nd team.

BB could make a list of nations with 100 or less users and 2nd teams could be opened only there. But that's probably a restriction nobody would like to see and 2nd team option is not being debated exclusively for saving micronation issue.

I thought I read earlier in this thread that the intent was to populate bot teams in micronations, but I certainly could have misread that. Perhaps the intent was to allow second teams in any country. I apologize if I misunderstood that.

For those of us already in micronations, it would make no sense to get a team in another micronation.

Maybe a rule like this would make sense...

"A manager from country with more than 500 users can sign his 2nd team only in countries with less than 500 users".

I understand some USA managers would like to open their 2nd team in Italy, Poland or China (or viceversa). But this rule would not only solve micronation issue to an extent; it would also balance NT competition a bit.

I agree with this rule, i think probably in that case idea of 2nd team have better impact on what you say micronation and nt competitive :-)

Yeah, great. Force me to play against bots most of the time. That's really great competition.

That's why we should help micronations' players - they forced to play with bots now.

What a knee-jerk reaction...

Compare this to not having the option of 2nd team at all? Btw, country I come from has less than 500 users and you play against bots only in first 2-3 cup rounds.

At least D.I leagues of most of micronations would be filled with either local or foreign managers, so if you are really unlucky and fall into D.II full of bots, you have to wait only one season to advance to a competitive league, while building your arena and training while winning.
